Well I've recently moved here from San Diego, which obviously has a very strong Mexican influence being so close to the border. Needless to say I'm always on the lookout for some decent Mexican food, but let me tell you Magdalena's is far from it. Just because a restaurant is the size of a house, with little to no room to even move once you get into your seat doesn't mean it's ""authentic"". First of all nacho cheese not so different from Taco Bell was dumped over all my food, the salsa tasted like they dumped it from a plastic Chi Chi's container, and the chips were straight from a store. Authentic? To top it off they wanted to charge $4.60 for one mediocre sized scoop of guacamole. Now...I know avocados are expensive but nearly $5 for a half of an avocado in bowl full of shredded lettuce is ridiculous. The only thing that gives this restaurant a star was the sweet waitress we had. The sad thing is though that the people around here don't know any better, to them this is good stuff. That would explain the 5 stars above. I know I'm not in San Diego anymore, but come on gringo's! If your gonna do it do it right! And please don't claim to be authentic if your not, it's just embarrassing to yourself and the Mexican heritage.
Pros: Nice Sevice
Cons: Bad Food, No Room, Bad Food
