The Triple Crown guys are great. I used them to move cross-town in Manhattan and they were prompt, careful, thorough, and most of all helpful. I am a seasoned NYC renter who has moved many times and these guys are the best. Three very experienced guys showed up promptly and quickly got to work and had me in my new place within hours. The office office took the time to work through all the questions and issues I had and were very attentive. I will definitely be using them again in the future and recommending them to friends, family, and coworkers. more

I recently used Bekins to move within Suffolk County, NY. The 4 man crew that showed up to my house were prompt, knowledgeable and very dedicated to making my family's move go as smoothly as possible. They were able to make my furniture fit into some tight spots, or broke down and put back furniture that didn't. The crew was very professional and extremely efficient. I was very impressed with Triple Crown Maffucci Moving and Storage. When we made our choice in moving companies one factor was the honesty and guidance Paul Schwartz offered us. The team of six men showed up at our home on time, presentable ready and willing to get on with the move. Miguel and Tito were the leaders of the team and the direction they gave was clear and precise. \r Adding our items at the new location, they were order,y and placed each rooms goods\r All six men took great effort in wrapping our furniture, lamps and mirrors which gave us peace of mind. They even packed our wardrobes. They needed to drive one truck to another location other than the one we were moving to and handled the offloading in an efficient manner. They handle our piano with great care.\r \r Upon both trucks arriving at our new home the six men went right to work. They offloaded our items with extreme care. Each item was place where we wanted them and before finishing up Miguel walked our new home to see if any adjustments needed to be done. The men also unpacked some of our wardrobes and placed the items in the appropriate closets. \r \r I have nothing to say but the best of compliments and a great thank you for making what could have been a stressful day actually an easy and fast day. Extremely careless Movers. Not a trust-worthy, honest or fair-minded company either.\r \r This moving company caused much damage to many of our possessions. Most of the damaged items were not boxed, but were wrapped in moving blankets. The movers were careless with our possessions during the move. Every single floor lamp was smashed, bent, or otherwise damaged, and some of these were very valuable. Major pieces of valuable furniture had doors either broken in half or fully ripped-off. Legs of several tables and one bookcase were snapped off. And there were other damages as well. The guys performing the move said re: the items being carried in in pieces ""well that's what insurance is for"". \r \r Apparently when you buy ""insurance"" from this moving company they are self-insured, so there is no independent party to process the claim and deem what is reasonable. So they caused thousands of dollars of damage and offer $495. And they charged $1,000 for “replacement value” insurance. Do the math….they made money on top of the move by selling us useless insurance. A total fraud.\r \r They also did not ship our car as contracted (covered car carrier), instead shipping it via an open car carrier, which should have cost much less. They will not respond to refunding the excessive charges.\r \r When the car was received, I found a pair of sneakers in the back seat along with some other garbage, and that the front seats were moved all the way up, and that the heat was on full blast. There was also a foul smell in the car. It was clear that the driver of the open car transport was sleeping in our car during the move, very likely not taking a shower the entire trip across. Really gross....and no response or consideration of this by the moving company.\r \r Go with someone else – anyone else is better than these thieves.\r more

We've moved several times and have never really had a good experience. Triple Crown Maffucci movers changed all that. Their movers were prompt (actually early), did not dawdle, left the house in order and then carted big furniture up to a 4th floor apartment without complaint. What more could we ask. I would recommend these movers to anyone. more

I write this review of Triple Crown Maffucci Bekins (212.496.6500) after having a nearly flawless move with them in September 2010. (I moved from New York City to Connecticut.) This was my first experience with professional movers. I did my homework before choosing a mover. The preparation definitely paid off.\r \r I followed the tips on the AMSA website. From that website, Triple Crown Maffucci Bekins was one of several movers who contacted me through the ProMover referral service.\r \r I found online that this mover, Maffucci Bekins, had an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. I decided to schedule an in-home estimate.\r \r Judd Levine came to my apartment in NYC to do the estimate. He was on time and dressed professionally. He helped me figure out the various complexities of my move. He then provided an estimate that was in line with other estimates I obtained.\r \r My partner and I are very organized, and we started packing our boxes early. While packing, we realized we had more stuff (in a storage unit) than we thought. So we called Judd with the additional info, and he clarified for us what would, and would not, incur additional charges.\r \r By moving day, we were totally packed. Our team of four movers did show up early. (This was the only “flaw” in the move since we were pretty frazzled and groggy at 7:15am!) We calmed down quickly, though, when we saw that our team of guys was experienced, courteous and exceedingly careful with our belongings.\r \r Now maybe we just got a great team but these guys worked well together for the entire eight-hour move. Although I was paying for the move, I felt towards the end that I wanted to help them carry some things, and offer them a break here and there. (It was a hot day!) But they cheerfully declined my help and the break, and instead just pushed forward toward the move’s completion. After the move was finished, there was no damage to any of our items or to our new place. \r \r The final bill actually came out a little bit less than we expected because (1) we were totally ready and (2) the guys were experienced and fast!\r \r From start to finish, Triple Crown Maffucci Bekins, gave us a level of service and professionalism that surprised and impressed me. This includes Judd Levine, the several nice office folks I spoke with on the phone, and all four guys on moving day. Based on my experience, I am very pleased to recommend this company without any hesitation whatsoever. \r more

We have been planning a cross country move for the past 2 years and it finally has come to pass. When we finally sold our apartment in NYC and needed to choose a moving company we asked some friends for a referal, and Judd Levine from Triple Crown Maffucci was one of the referrals. Judd showed up for the estimate and was extremely knowledgeable and you could tell he was confident in his company's services. Well, they didn't let us down. The packers they sent were really nice and packed all of our fine crystal excellently. The moving crew that came to pack the truck was great and the team that unloaded us in San Diego was so helpful. Finally, we had a very short window for our delivery and Triple Crown made it happen. Hi, I never did thank you for all the hard work that you did to help us move my daughter from Astoria to Austin, Texas back in May/June. I must tell you that I was quite anxious until the whole thing was done but you guys came through just like you promised you would. I cannot thank you enough. I submitted a straight A report on you guys and strongly recommend that anyone needing help with a move get in touch with you guys. I indicated how quickly you initially responded to my request for a quote and how you were the only folks to actually send someone out to Erin's apartment to look at it and well you guys did your job and even worked around the fact that the police wouldn't allow the first truck up Erin's street but that you all handled that in stride.
