Who'd-a-thought that such an authentic-style Irish pub could be in such a hidden area in North Charleston?! I'm so sick of the downtown ""Irish"" bars where most of the patrons would rather sip on a Miller Light or Cosmo than a fine stout or whiskey. It's about a half hour drive for me to get to the Madra Rua from where I live, but I get out there about every week or so. It's so charming and laid back, the servers are friendly, and there's a good chance you could leave a rugby fan (if you weren't already). The back patio area is a great spot to relax and listen to great music. Ye don't find many watering holes like this anymore!
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing!
