I want to thank you for all the work and professionalism that you and your staff showed to us Friday night. What an absolutely wonderful wedding. Everything was perfect. I have heard nothing but positive comments regarding The Madison staff (one of my friends mentioned that one of your waiters is now her ""new best friend""), the food which was completely superb (even my brother who has to complain about something could only say there was no salt and pepper on his table -- I took that as high praise!) and the beautiful structure (so many comments were made about the woodwork and how well the building has been kept). What a wonderful memory we have made for Michelle and Anthony. We made it back to Alabama last night after a wonderful bus trip with 24 of our family and friends to wineries around Santa Barbara. What a fantastic weekend. Thank you for all your help and hard work. more

Thank you for helping me sooo much! I meant to email you to let you know how wonderful our evening was, but we had our offices painted and carpeted all weekend so our computers were all down. Matthew was terrific! Very attentive and informative regarding the building. I especially enjoyed the empanadas and the lentil soup!! Of course the dessert was superb and the coffee made with the French press was flavorful. All of the entrees were enjoyed too. Very good job with the menu,Patrick. But most of all, our seating on the mezzanine was just beautiful! The view of the restaurant's interior from our table was so wonderful! We also took a tour of the vault downstairs. Thank you so much for a totally fabulous evening enjoyed by one and all! more

The decor was fabulous. You are sitting in a former bank. The scenery is unbelievable. The food was excellent. My meal was cooked to perfection. The wait staff was attentive to my needs. The wine list had much to offer in a glass and in bottles. This restaurant is not to be missed when staying in Long Beach. more

We had a wonderful time at The Madison for two birthday celebrations (85th and 95th). It is a great place for a "special occasion". All of our dinners were exceptional. The service was leisurely and impeccable, we all enjoyed our time there. more

Planning to go back soon! 6/8/2011

My sweetie and I went for dinner before a concert last Saturday. The restaurant is stunning and there's lots to see given that it's a refurbished bank and is a California state landmark. The place is in pristine condition. Our waiter was fabulous and very attentive. For example, when we asked if there were blue cheese stuffed olives for our martinis- he said no, but that he would stuff them personally. Voila! When our martinis came- you could tell they were "handmade"- the effort was noted! Our food was served with perfect presentation and on a timely basis given that we had a concert to attend. Our waiter made sure that we got our food on time. A bit pricey - but worth every penny! planning to go back soon! more

Definitely worth it 6/1/2011

I wanted to treat my wife for a nice Birthday dinner and as I knew the Madison from the industry mixers I attend regularly, I thought it would be great to try it out. Well, it's pricy but definitely worth it. Our waiter (Jeff) was extremely helpful and explained the menu in detail. We started off with a couple cocktails - nicely done. Crab cakes as an appetizer were crispy and tasty. Chateaubriand is great (make sure it's ordered medium rare, anything more will end up being rather chewy) and we were not able to finish either the meat nor the sides. Spinach sides are recommended as well. We had two desserts, one on the House (thanks) and the espresso cake we ordered was delicious as well. Tab came out to some US 165.00 incl tax without tip more

We are getting a lot of great comments about last night. Everybody is raving about the food, presentation, etc. You all did a great job! The figures jive with mine as well. I will bring over a check tomorrow around 5PM. I forgot to take the music stand that I brought over yesterday. I have to get it back to church. So I will see you tomorrow. more

Dinner yesterday was wonderful! The service team was amazingly warm, kind, and competent. The food was delish! I ate leftovers for lunch today. I LOVED the little piano dessert! It was so classy. And the ambiance-- well you already know that the building is amazing! I had a great time and the Madison is now on our short list! I'm bringing my fiancé this weekend, so I'm hoping he'll love it as much as I did! Thanks so much for everything! more
