I really don't understand the poor review for JP Madison's...I would assume if he asked about the person being a "twitcher," it was more so trying to ascertain if that person was prone to spontaneously moving which one would assume would be a problem if you're holding a sharp object near the general vicinity of their head. Seriously, John is probably the nicest and most accommodating stylist I know. more

As the manager of a local group home for developmentally disabled adults I contacted JP Madison about getting one of our african-american residents' hair straightened. JP said he was concerned about his liability in doing that. I inquired about the risks associated with using straightening products. JP was unwilling to say what products he used but he said they are very dangerous and have many health risks including skin problems, burns, and blindness. He asked if she was a "twitcher". I don't know what that means, but I've certainly never heard that term applied to her. After several attempts to have a coherent conversation with JP, and trying to get past his total lack of sensitivity, I tried one more time to ask if there wasn't something he could do to help my resident. He said he didn't think it was a good idea for him to do my residents hair, AND HUNG UP ON ME!! Extremely rude and uncalled for. more

I think very highly of the team at JP Madison's. They always listen to what you want and make creative suggestions to give you the ultimate look in hair. I trust them so much they styled my wedding parties hair. They did not let me down. A few local places hire these stylists for fashion shows and special events. They also do pedicures and manicures. I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else. Their prices are reasonable. They are located in the village of Lockport but the is plenty of off street parking and is handicap accessible. more
