Best

i go to madam mams every chance i get. the pad thai is amazing, though it is very spicy (get a 1 or 2 tops). also, the pad sea ew is too die for and i think it's my new favorite. ...

Worst

Madam Mam's has very limited vegetarian choices. It is best to avoid this place if you do not want fish sauce or meat/chicken broth in your food. The food we ordered was average...

great Thai food 4/16/2006

Madam Mam’s is my favorite Thai restaurant. They have a huge menu and the food is super cheap. The service is a bit spotty and they get very busy at lunchtime. It is so worth the wait, and their mango sticky rice is phenomenal. I love coming here when I have a few hours break between classes and want to have a good meal with friends. more

As close to authenic in Austin as you can get! 3/24/2006

This place rocks!!! The Yam Nuer (Thai Beef Salad) is out of this world! It's a huge portion of marinated beef in a tangy spicy lime dressing with fresh herbs and lettuce. The pad Thai is nice for people who can't do spicy dishes. The Tom Yum soup is a huge bowl that has a nice spicy flavor, but beware... it's HOT. We always recommend this place to anyone who wants good Thai. Hands down the best in Austin!!!! more

Madam Mam's (Dining Review) 3/15/2006

This would be a top-notch restaurant if not for a few drawbacks. The service sometimes leaves something to be desired, the food does not come out at the same time for everybody at the table (sometimes even 10 minute gaps in between), and the seating arrangements seem cramped. However, there are also many highlights to this restaurant. It is conveniently located right on the edge of the main campus of UT, along the "drag" and well within walking distance. The food is delicious, with a variety of things to choose from. There is even a "hot" scale, so you can customize how spicy you want your food. It is moderately priced. Overall, it is a good dining experience that won't hurt your wallet and will leave you wanting more of its good food. more

Close to Campus 8/23/2005

This place has awesome Thai food, and it even has dishes that aren't spicy for people like me. It's really close to campus so it's ideal for people who don't want to go far or don't have a ride to get there. The most popular dish among my friends is F11 that has flat noodles with a really good sauce. I've never come across an angry waiter, but I've heard stories of waiters confronting customers who don't tip well. more
