Paint your own pottery for an event is a great idea, but this isn't the place to do it. Pros: Price Cons: Location, Quality and not kid friendly

In response to another poster - I have a stork visit that is beautiful! The owner came to the hospital the day after my son was born and painted my sons feet. It is a treasured piece. I guess not all babies are "perfect", but I love my sons prints and I have never heard of this service anywhere else. more

Great Place for a Bridal Shower 3/27/2006

I planned a bridal shower for my creative best friend at the Mad Platter. The employees let us set up a long table of food and did not mind at all that we had a relatively large party. We each picked out a piece to decorate for the bride and she really enjoyed the personalized creative gifts that we all made for her. They have many pieces to choose from and the creative possibilities are endless. more

An interesting night out 10/31/2005

Mad Platter is a lot of fun for an interesting alternative to a regular evening out with friends. You don't need artistic talent to create beautiful pieces thanks to their selection of stamps and stencils. Their prices are very reasonable. I would not suggest, however their Stork deal for newborn foot prints. I spend $25 to get a plate with my nephew's footprints done and it did not turn out well, you couldn't even tell they were footprints. more

Good Times! 10/24/2005

This is located in Five-Points, so it's fun to go to on a date with your spouse or even bring the kids along. I made a large plate and matching bowl that I use all the time to entertain with - adds a special touch and I can say, "I made it". more
