Nursing instructor bullying at Macomb 3/7/2013

I attended the Macomb nursing program and was bullied by the instructors. I finally reported the clinical instructor bullying I was enduring in my last clinical and was failed out of that clinical. I was then placed into a secondary clinical with an instructor who had passed me in a previous clinical. The second time around she used her advance nurse practitioner skills in retaliation to make me look incompetent and unsafe and to deny my receiving my ADN two weeks before graduation. During the clinical she also told me I was expected to be perfect in order to pass. However, this was not required of my other classmates and they were not bullied. I had an 3.54 GPA, had passed the entire lecture portion with a B+ and all the other clinical's except the last one. The nursing department does not care about the students. The administration is full of arrogant and egotistical staff that cannot handle the truth about the bullying. When I appealed up the administrative ladder the provost of col more

Community Two Year College (South Campus) 8/19/2006

MCCC is a beginner's college with basic classes to\r take towards your degree. It is set up nicely where you can walk short distances to the other buildings. I actually loved attending this college. The professors were kind and I learned a lot. The campus has a homey feel about it and everyone is there for the same purpose. They have\r a huge auditorium on campus where President Clinton\r had come to speak in the past and President Bush has been there more recently. They also have a very nice library. more

Excellent Education for An Excellent Price! 8/9/2006

I attended Macomb Community College right after high school. I attended for 4 years both part-time and full-time, both during the day and at night. I found the classes to be challenging and the professors to be knowledgeable in their fields. An excellent place to start right out of high school or to go back after being in the work-force. Mediocre education 11/3/2005

The programs, faculty, and educational opportunities at this institution do not engage the students. The student turnover/incomplete rate is extremely high. The professors do not know how to handle students who are well educated and/ or over acheivers. I was very disappointed in my experience. This proves that you get what you pay for. (It is extremely cheap) PROS: cheap CONS: too many to list more

Wonderful Learning Opportunity 11/2/2005

I graduated from Macomb Community College about three years ago. I have been given great opportunities since finishing my degree. I feel that the class sizes were just right and the teachers were great. I feel like the tuition was fair for the classes they provided. I feel like I really got my moneys worth. more

Great school with small comfortable classes 6/7/2005

I have attended classes here at MCC, and I found it to be much more comfortable than university classes. It seems much more laid back. My wife and I also go there for all of our certification testing for work. The grounds are very well kept, it's closer to my house than any other college or university. They charge much less than a university too, and you can transfer your credits later! more

Great school 6/7/2005

This is a great college to start your kids off in or just for someone who wants to start back to school after years of being out of school. They have a great nursing program at this college also. more
