Macken Music is horrible! When we selected our DJ eight months ago, we were assured that we would be getting the most professional DJ. Three weeks before the wedding, we met with the DJ to finalize plans. Instead of meeting at the office as planned, the DJ made us follow him to Dairy Queen (where he picked up his girlfriend), then made us follow him to the Steak & Ale. He only met with us for a few minutes, then got up and left with no explanation. Turns out he was playing in a poker tournament during our meeting!!!! He was trying to talk with us in between hands! He was so unprofessional and seemed unstable. The whole situation was actually kind of scary.\r

When we complained, the owner apologized but implied we were over-reacting. We didn't like the other DJ he suggested to replace the poker-playing DJ; but he will not refund our $425 deposit! So now...three weeks to our wedding and we don't have a DJ and we've lost $425 for nothing.\r

Without naming names, I told this story to another DJ company, and he guessed the name of the DJ that we had hired! I guess he is know in the industry for strange, unprofessional behavior. My reception site also had bad things to say about him.\r

I can't tell you how much stress this has caused me and my family. We are just so disappointed.
Cons: Unprofessional, unreliable, poor customer service
