I've never been to this restaurant, but I am a die hard wrestling fan!!! Rumors are surfing the web saying local oregonian wrestling legend Billy Jack Haynes owns this restaurant...

It's your fuctioning alcoholic co-worker that only talks about sports. Pros: tv's everywhere, outside patio Cons: tv's everywhere and everything else

You are going to love this place. The food is awesome, the bands are off the charts and the servers are cool and helpful. The owners are involved on a daily basis which means quality every day. I am really fond of their salads and find their fish dishes superb. Pros: Service, food, TV set up more

Best Sports Bar 10/17/2008

I must say that the friendly staff, great food made this an ideal place to hold a party for my wife's birthday. They worked to accomadate our every need. The food was fabulous, and the atmosphere was fun and energetic. Whether your looking to book a party or sit down and enjoy a game with a bunch of friends this is a great place in Portland that everyone should enjoy. I highly recommend Macadam's and am positive you will enjoy your visit. Pros: Shuffleboard, loads of TV's, good bands, outside patio, pool tables, great food! Cons: No free drinks for those that recommend the place. What? more

Great Service 6/13/2008

I just started to frequent Macadam's recently and have had great experiences. The bartender is always great and poors a good drink. They're always happy to find any game I want. The NTN trivia is a blast too. Pros: Service, availability of games on TV and non smoking atmosphere more

Terrible place! 4/3/2008

This place has less ambience and personality than a surburban TGIFriday's. It seems from looking at the other reviews that I am not alone in how I feel about this place. Terrible service, watered down drinks, and awful food. Maybe the owners should spend less time defending their shortcomings on here and more time improving their business. more

I've been here about six times since the place opened, and there are few things to like so I'll start there. Pros: most of the time - lovely staff Cons: colored water instead of thunder water, bad food and just lame more

Great Food & Happy Hour Price 2/19/2008

This place with the non-smoking is wonderful. Their happy hour is amazing and the shuffle board for free can not be beat. I think you just have to get the right waiter. I can see them being run ragged so I do think they could stand to hire a few more, but we always sit in Kevin's section and we get great service and he always on the go bring us food and our drinks. Classy and Clean - Great non-smoking Sportsbar 2/13/2008

Great place to watch a game or just to hang out for drinks and good food. Clean, classy interior and no smoking!! Lots of TV's, shuffleboard, Pool and Live bands on the weekends. I recommend the Happy Hour food specials, can't beat the price! Pros: Great Happy Hour and fun atmosphere more

This place is not far from our home and every time I suggest that we go there I always have second guess my suggestion because the service there can be so horrible. Surprisingly great atmosphere inside... nice TVs... and comfortable. Service is good, casual, and never any pressure to buy something you don't want like a fancy drink. Great place to grab a burger and beer...and speaking of burgers...they are HUGE. Pool table is nice and cost only about 75 cents. Great menu items too. more

No Smoking = Nice, Slower than normal wait staff 6/4/2007

Being that it is non smoking, it is a nice atmosphere. It is lighted nicely, and there was some live music. The wait staff (bartenders) seemed really busy, and it took a while to get service. We played darts back in the gaming area, the dartboard is kind of old school, but works. No waitresses came back to ask if we wanted more drinks, which was kind of a let down. Pros: No Smoking, Nice atmosphere Cons: Slow wait staff more

This is a very nice new club/restaurant. We hadn't been there since it was Mazzi's way back when. The menu is top notch without the excessive price. Our server took our order in a timely manner and our burgers were just as we requested. We enjoyed the large open feel, excellent service and especially that it's non-smoking. The band playing was an excellent variety band and we really had a good time. The only thing we didn't care for was all the TV's blaring. This is too nice a place to be just another damn sports bar. Pros: parking, diverse menu, great service, live music. Cons: Sports bar. Too many TVs. more

Good people, good food and all the sports you can strain your neck at. 2/17/2007

Great upscale NON-smoking bar and restaurant not too far out of downtown. Good food and Happy Hour every day of the week, even Sundays (to my surprise). I came in not expecting much because of what it used to be but was blown away by the huge bar and all the flat screen TV's. The game I wanted to watch wasn't on but the friendly people found it and I had my own TV to myself. I looked around and noticed they had something going on every day of the week. Live music on the weekends, and fun stuff like bingo (who does that anymore :)! I was impressed. They need a better patio for the summer but overall a great place to watch any sport anyday. Cheers! Pros: great beers on tap, Loads of TV's and friendly staff. Cons: too bright during the days and daytime house music might put you to sleep. more

Upscale bar food, live music and good atmosphere 10/2/2006

Macadam's Bar and Grill is a breath of fresh air in the crowded Portland Bar scene. It's super versatile, a place where families can eat during the day and a nice place to relax after dark. It's a huge space with a warmly decorated interior. There's a stage in the middle of the place, where live bands play. The drinks are good and the food is an upscale spin on traditional BBQ and bar food, but doesn't have the upscale bar price tag. There are many big screen TV's and it's become a hot spot to watch the big game on the weekends. Pros: Great food, good prices, non-smoking Cons: can be dead at certain times of the day, slow service more
