I know a number of people from out of the area who travel to Mack's, a local institution, to pick apples and pumpkins each year. We just went again this weekend, and it was wonderful. There are many, many locations to pick apples and pumpkins, but choose the one on Adams Road. It has a HUGE pumpkin patch, and not the kind where pumpkins are picked and dropped - the pumpkins grew right there, and you may need to cut the stem. (Watch out for mice, though!) We were with a family who picked a 70 lb. pumpkin (they have wagons and wheelbarrows for the large ones!) Apple picking is great too, dozens of rows of trees, bring the camera! The store on Mammoth Rd is great too, you can spend hours between picking and visiting the store, where you can pick freshly picked apples from bins, and get backed goods and crafts. They have ice cream in the summer and early fall. Also, you can feed the ducks. Worth the trip here!
