Mabel's Roadhouse

I have been going to this bar for quite a few years and never had a problem with the bartenders, bouncers or patrons, until now. Many of the employees and customers of this bar are friends that I have known for many years. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about the owner.\r \r Over the weekend, she made an appearance at Mable's, just as I was about to leave, and was the most rude, disrespectful, horrid woman I had ever encountered. Being treated this way the ""Owner"" of this bar is completely unacceptable. I did nothing wrong and she found it necessary to spout vulgarities and call me names for undue cause.\r \r Because of her, I will NEVER spend another dollar in this establishment and I urge you to not to as well. It's disgusting that this business owner thinks she can behave in this manner. Her demeanor was absolutely uncalled for and unprovoked. It seemed she was looking to start a fight in her own bar. \r \r Just because you own a bar or any other business doesn't make you superior and she needs to know that it doesn't giver her carte blanche to treat people like this...I can't wait to watch Schooner's take her down...which, BTW, is an awesome Bar & Grill. more

Mabel's is awsome when you get the right mix of people coming in. Sometimes you get too many bro's or drunk old men that get a little too trunk and are way too loud, yelling in your ear. but, on thursday nights, its a great mix of nerdy karaokee goers of all ages and it is a lot of fun to hear the vast variety of music that people choose. Oh, and I have never seen anyone EVER do drugs in mabel's but there is a bit of a rough croud there other nights than thursdays. The only thing nuttty stench got right is what his/her mouth smells like. Mabels is a great place, and there are no people doing drugs in the bathroom. Nutty is probably a rude drinker that cant handle themselves and was asked to leave. more

Mabel's may not be the classiest place in town, however it is filled with real people that are real nice. Mabel's used to be called Winston's Pub back in the day and some people still refer to it as such, but they are the same place. The place is not for everyone. The hoity toity set that seems to be filling our valley, may not appreciate it's earthyness, but then they don't have to frequent the place.\r \r I have been an on again and off again customer over the last three years and I have found that Mabel's is a great place to watch people. I have seen many interesting people cross their threshold. \r \r It rarely gets rough...but I haven't seen anyone get hurt that didn't deserve it. Some people become jerks when they consume alcohol! \r \r The staff at Mabel's always makes you feel welcome and as long as you have an open mind, you should have a good time. When I walked into Mabel's, I noticed the crowd was a little too white garbage for my tastes. You could tell that a lot of the patrons were doing coke in the rest room. I wouldn't want to go there again, since the crowd became angry when someone almost poked someones eye out with a dart. This is a very rough crowd in the middle of Valencia (which you wouldn't expect) - but there it is....trailor park haven. Bad place...stay away. Cons: Listed in my paragraph more
