Don't let this happen to you. If you don't like your car and don't care to see it again, this is your place.
The original estimate and paint appointment made in Febuary 2006. Advised would take one week, picked up car 3 weeks later. Car was not finished properly and very unsatisfactory work had me too upset to address at that time. Returned the vehicle the second week of July, 2006, and advised of poor workmanship and expected repairs. Was advised at that time it would be a week or two and they would call me. I have called at least once a month to check on status and told they would call back by three different counter people. The latest Agent advised me Tuesday, 23 Jan 07, the car would be ready for pick up on Wednesday, 24 Jan 07, in the afternoon. I took the afternoon off, took the train to Palo Alto to pick up the car. What a mess! Car was filthy, inside and out, more than just sitting for 7 months would do. The door panels damaged from the original work were in even worse condition that when it was take back in July. The pin stripe had still not been replaced. Agent offered to have it done in 15 minutes but I refused. I did not want some line slapped on the side of this dirty car in "15 minutes". The work was poor enough quality already. The paint damage from the windshield replacement had not been repaired. The only things I noticed that had been repaired were the installation of the rear emblem and the seal on the windshield. Agent advised he would talk with the owner FIRST thing the next morning and let me know what was going to happen. It has now been 48 hours and no call. Paid $1600 for paint work on a 1991 Cadillac Eldorado. I hope my "baby" will forgive me some day!
