When I moved back to the Houston area after being away at school, I called asking Monica to update my bank information to my new bank. She wouldn't do it. She said wait until the payment doesn't clear. I said I don't want to do that since it would be a nick on my credit. I called the bank I was closing the account with and wired them the money to cover the payment. A few weeks later I signed up with a new insurance company and left a message with them I was cancelling my policy with them. I never heard back from them until they tried to take another withdraw from my closed account.
I told Moncia again. I asked you to switch my account and you refused so I got different insurance and told you that. Her response- ""you can't do that over the phone. We have to have something in writing."" Well, why didn't you tell me that when I called and left you the message that you never returned. I was very clear in my message about why I was leaving you. Wouldn't a call back have seemed appropriate?
So I faxed the declaration to them and now they are turning me over to a collection agency when technically they owe me money for cancelling before my policy ended.
