I like this place when I’m looking for very good seafood. When I cook having fresh ingredients is important so I love M. Slavin & Sons. All the fish is of high quality but they have some of the best Sea Bass and Salmon in town. The employees here are all great. They are always willing to lend a helping hand. more

M. Slavin & Sons 3/20/2006

M. Slavin & Sons has some of the best seafood in the area. Most local supermarkets cannot compare to the quality of the seafood that is supplied here. There is a noticeable difference in the quality of these fish. The fishmongers here are very knowledgeable and will happily give you some preparation tips or will filet any whole fish for you. more

Fresh fish and wide selection at this market 8/22/2005

When I really want quality, fresh fish, I go to M. Slavin & Sons. They are more expensive than supermarkets, but the difference in quality is noticeable and well worth the price, especially on less common fish varities. They have a great selection and will happily do some of the prep work for you (skin, steam...). Check the Washington Post Food Section on Wednesdays for occasional coupons. more
