My visit to Richmond Surgical Arts was recommended by a patient who had gone for minor facial rejuvenation. This was my first visit so I had expected a more welcoming experience. My concern and desire was to have chest sun damage and some facial spots corrected. That session was nice and the laser technician was indeed wonderful. I was ushered in along with an elderly gentleman and I was hardly acknowledged. I felt transparent. There had been no initial consultation with the Doctor as to my concerns and what I would like to see. I do this with all of my clients before any service. I felt rushed when I had my Lip Enhancement Juvederm injection. I expressed clearly that I wanted just a little more fullness but not overly so, and definitely NOT the big lips you see on the silver screen. I left looking a duck, further more, it took about a month for it to go down and to this day, my upper lip is not normal looking. It looks like it's too big for my face and bigger than my bottom lip. I was expecting some slight swelling for a week or so, like they said. Mind you, there was no literature that was sent home with me in regards to what to expect or care... I called numerous times with concerns and when I expressed some issues with bumps and uneveness, they said it was ok to massage that area....but to not overly do it...? I still have visible injection pockets that look like blisters on my lips. I think that if someone has a smaller mouth and face, that should be taken into consideration, not just to administer the 'whole syringe' just because that's what a patient pays for. :0) Perhaps that could have been used elsewhere. Nasal labial folds or marionette lines perhaps. I feel like it's a way to make more money for the practice. Just research the Doctor and practice, ask how many patients have had this done, etc., view photos, so you don't look like a monkey face....thank God it's not permanent! Anywhere from 4 mos. to a year....should be ""ART""...
Pros: Laser Technician very knowledgeable!
Cons: Not what I had asked for....upper lip bigger than bottom.
