Delicious 1/5/2009

We dined here on New Year's Eve and had the very best service and the the most delicious food that I have ever eaten! Everything was cooked to perfection. And the menu selection was incredible! It wasn't overwhelming with too many choices. Everything we ordered was amazing and our pregnant waitress was very attentive to our needs! Pros: delicous food, great service, beautiful ambiance Cons: pricey like all vegas fine dining more

Poor service 9/10/2008

I've been to the Luxor Steakhouse several times. The last two times I have been the service was abysmal. My wife's steak was cooked not to what she ordered and even after a second try it was still not right. My drink went unfilled for quite some time (actually almost the end of my meal from being empty towards the start). Our waiters were catering over a table of obnoxiously loud people next to us (evidently someone important) and pretty much ignored our needs. I'm not sure how a business can stay in business with such practices, and maybe that is why it is no longer the Luxor Steakhouse and now called Tender Steak and Seafood. With this being one of the more expensive places on the Strip to eat, I really expected better service. I have given this restaurant two stars only because my first visit out of three times I have been there was good. I doubt I will give them another chance since there are so many good places on the Strip that give much better service. For great service and food try Delmonicos, Camelot Steak House, Fusia, Sir Galahads, or Strip Steak. Pros: Good food when cooked correctly Cons: Poor service more

Good food but will get better service if you look older and rich 3/10/2008

My husband and I had dinner there last weekend. The food was excellent but the service was OK. I would have expected more from a restaurant like that. I think our waiter assumed we wouldn't tip well since we looked young. Took FOREVER to get my soda refilled and was surprised to find they charge for refills(the glasses are teeny tiny and they fill them with ice to the top!). If I would have known they charge for refills I wouldn't have asked for one. If you do plan on getting a beverage with dinner, make sure you ask for no ice! :) We were also seated right by a noisy private room. The steak was the best I ever had. The soup was phenomenal! I might go back if I ever go to Vegas again, but I will have to make sure I look a lot older and dress flashier :) :) Pros: Great steak and soup Cons: slow service and was next to a noisy private room more

I've had better service at Applebees!! 7/21/2007

First off, we made reservations and were seated by the kitchen entrance. The restaurant was not busy... yet we were seated in a place with more traffic the craps tables. Lesson # 1... don't make reservations, you get treated worse.\r \r Second... I ordered a well done steak (I know... a travesty!) and it was still bleeding when I cut in to it. Not the end of the world, as long as it's fixed without a fuss. No such luck! I let the waiter's assistant know that it wasn't cooked properly, he apologized and went to get the waiter. The waiter walked up to the table and asked me, ""What's the problem?"". I explained that the steak was undercooked. He whipped the steak from the table, turned, and left. No apologies... nothing!\r \r And the final straw... The food wasn't outstanding. I can get a better steak in Seattle! Pros: um... none Cons: bad service more

Best steak I've ever had!!! 5/20/2007

On a recent trip to Vegas I stayed at the Luxor and ate at the steak house my last night there..WOW!!! I got the new york strip and it may have been the best steak I've ever had!!! I'm serious, and thats alot coming from me since I love a good steak. The wait staff were incredible and oh btw...You have to try the bannas foster!!! Might have been the best desert I've ever had. Prices are high but dang was the food good! Pros: Best steak ever! Awesome service! Cons: Prices are high and everything is ala carte but I was in Vegas and it was worth it more

Delicious Everything!!! Filet, Veal Osso Bucco, Salads, Soups, Veggies, Desserts and Wine! 9/3/2006

Hubby and I took our son for his Sweet 16th Birthday dinner and was only disappointed in one thing! We were seated at a table and when asked to be moved to a booth... there was absolutely no problem and were very gracious about accomodating us. The service was excellent without being overly pretentious...just really nice. The food was excellent... cooked, baked or grilled to perfection... the Filets, Veal, Veggies, etc. The Creme Brulee was divine as was the Triple Cheesecake dessert dish. The waiter made some suggestions for the night specials and they were equally impressive. I would have rated this restaurant a 10 except for the fact that they do not uphold their dress code of business casual. They should really refuse service to those dressed in sweat pants, shorts, tennis shoes, etc. or else place them in a room separate from those dressed for fine dining!!! It is the only complaint I have however :) Bon Appetit! Pros: Great Food, Dessert, Wine List Cons: Lack of Dress Code Enforcement!!! It's go as you are and disappointing! Only fault! more

Quite possibly one of the finest dining experiences that I've ever had. The food was amazing, wine list superb and service best of all. The waiter team was highly attentive and knowledgeable. The overall experience far surpassed my expectations. Highly highly recommended! Pros: Everything more

Best restaurant experience I've ever had 9/9/2005

The food was delicious. The best swordfish I've ever had and the best service I've ever had. Our waiter was so great we gave him the biggest tip I've ever given. The atmosphere is very romantic and the waiters are on top of everything. They seemed like they genuinely cared about every diner. This visit was the best part of our trip to Vegas. If we do go back to Vegas, we will definitely visit this restaurant again. Pros: Best Food, Impecable Service, Nice Atmosphere more

I recently dined here with family and had a wonderful time. The food was fantastic and cooked to our liking and the service was very good. The wait staff was very nice and helpful with any questions. The best ever!!! 1/13/2003

The Luxor Steakhouse is by far the best steakhouse ever!!!!!!! The first time I went there I was staying at the Luxor, now no matter where I'm staying in Vegas, I allways stop there for a special dinner. The steak's at Luxor Steakhouse are just amazing I have still have had nothing like them anywhere, so good I've gone back 3 times and I've allway's had the best service I could ask for. more

We have tried many steakhouses in Vegas, Luxor tops them all, hands down. From excellent service to accomodating special requests, this place is the best!! I like how you can be yourself and still get treated like royalty. Pros: seated right away, great service, great food Cons: reservations needed, thats it!! more

Great Steak from the Pharohs 12/19/2002

My wife and I have been to Steak Houses all over the US. This one was one of the best! A real sleeper! Very little fanfare....but the experience was top notch! Situated in a really cool hotel too! Wow! What a Ribeye! 11/30/2002

This place is great! The bone in ribeye was excellent, every bit was edible except the bone and I almost wanted to eat that. The service was great especially our waiter Chuck. He really knew how to have fun and joke around. The MSN rating is incorrect where it shows this place as one $ ($20 and under) however, most entree's were $30 and up. Dinner for 4 of us with appetizers and drinks was over $340. The fact that the Luxor comped the meal just made it better! Pros: Ribeye, Service, atmosphere more
