This is one of the best fried fish places this far north. The eat in buffet is my favorite way to treat myself. The staff works hard and it shows in the food! Pros: Wonderful Catfish Cons: The tarter sauce could use some tweaking more

Best fish restaurant in KC 4/29/2008

The 35th and Prospect location is a great neighborhood restaurant. The fish is never greasy and always delicious. The sides are just like Mom used to make. I like them all but the greens and the red beans and rice are my favorites. The staff is wonderful, always friendly and helpful. Not a lot of ambience but definitely one of the cleanest restaurants I know of. A little out of the way but absolutely worth the drive. One of Kansas City's hidden gems. You will not regret stopping in at Lutfi's. 7/24/2007

Lutfi's Fried Fish is the best fish restaurant in Kansas City. The customer service is refreshing...they really try to give you a 'good customer experience.' The locations are clean and the food is really good (including some of the best desserts in town)...AND, the price can't be beat. I have been to both of the locations on Prospect Ave (35th & 69th). I'm looking forward to going to the one in Raytown. I am very proud of this black owned business. They also have trucks that travel around town and sell dinners. Some people would be leary about buying food from a truck, but I recommend you give Lutfi's a try. Pros: Food, friendly, cheap, clean more

great customer service 4/26/2007

It is rare to receive great customer service. When you do receive great customer service, you must let others know. Not only did I receive a cordial person upon my initial visit at the 70th & Prospect location, I received great customer service when I returned to make a dispute on my debit card. My card was accidently debited twice. The management immediately returned my money and ask if I would like to enjoy any item from the menu. I declined but I was truely impressed by their courteous and prompt behavior. Pros: quality and customer service more

Best Fish in the state of missouri 4/3/2007

Lutfi's has the best fish in the state of missouri. The first time you go you are hooked, you have to keep coming back for more. It is cook while you wait , the wait time is not long at all, and customer service is excellent. The dining experience is to unbelievable the atmostphere is so peaceful and full of class.
