The perfect end to a long day 10/30/2006

Lush has a bevy of handmade bath products that are the perfect end to a long day. They have a wide variety of great smelling soaps, as well as all natural lotions and hair products. My personal faves are the bubble bars (bubble bath in bar form), the massage bars (massage oil in bar form), and, best of all, the bath bombs, which explode in the tub and turn the water fragrant and inviting. There are so many different kinds, and they are almost all fantastic. more

Fab but expensive 10/20/2006

I got hooked on Lush when I was studying in London for my junior year in college. I adore their lemon soap, even though it doesn't last as long as it should for that price. Even so, I was soo excited to see that they have opened stores over here! more

The happiest place on Earth 4/10/2006

Lush is an addiction, and if you fall prey to it, you'll suddenly think that $10 for a bar of soap is a perfectly normal thing to deal with. Their stuff is high-quality, highly-scented, and ridiculously good. All their products are vegetarian and never tested on animals, and they clearly mark which products are OK for vegans - a rarity in the cosmetics business. The bath ballistics - you might know them as "fizzy balls" or "bath fizzies" - that Lush sells are the highest quality out there and will doubtless make you the epitome of your own bath goddess lounge fun time. Definitely make a trip to this store - parking's awful, the Metro is far away, and you'll have to lug heavy bags down a busy street - but it is SO WORTH IT. more

You can smell this place from a block away! 12/18/2005

Lush smells great and they have so many neat products, from bar soaps to Bath Bombs to solid shampoo. It's a great place to put together a gift set for a girl who loves bath products. But everything in the store is SO expensive. I've also found that the bar soap doesn't last nearly as long as you'd expect it to. A normal size bar would probably only last about a week or so of daily shower use. The bath bombs are one of the least expensive things in the shop, but they're still $5 a pop. For ONE bath! Plus, a lot of them have glitter and plastic shapes in them, which just get stuck in the bath tub once the water drains out. What a mess! more

Ridiculous Soap Prices 9/19/2005

This store sells unique soaps by the pound. The soaps truly are something different, with some containing actual orange slices for example, or actual beach sand, but the prices are just absurd. Most of the offerings go for about $20 or $30 a pound which means that a typical sized bar of soap will run you more than $10. Crazy in my opinion that anyone would pay those prices, but I guess some people do. They also sell bath salts and other bath accessories. more

Lush smells but stuff is great 8/20/2005

For the longest time, I could not step into this store because it smells so strong. The combinations of hundreds of very strong scents kept me away - I couldn't imagine working in the store! Then one day a friend gave me some bath balls (those little balls that you drop in the water and they fizz and make a little jacuzzi). They are amazing and worth the visit. Since then, I've braved the scents and found many products I liked in this store, especially the soaps. I highly recommend this store. more

I won't take a bath without them now! 8/18/2005

I got hooked on LUSH's products when I was on vacation in the southwest of England where LUSH started. It is a very rare occasion now that I take a bath without using one of their products. I can't say enough good things about this company. I wish that some of the products that we purchased for our daughter were available here in the United States but they may be phasing them out anyway. I will continue to use their products and am very happy that there is a store relatively close by. more
