Lu's Garden is not your typical fast chinese food restaurant. It may seem like that at first, because food is premade and you just pick your dishes, but the experience there makes it seem like a dine-in restaurant with class. The ambience there is very nice and clean. (Wow, this chinese restaurant even has an 'A' health rating... now isn't that rare... not stereotypically, but it is true. I am chinese myself and I know.) Anyways, pricing there is about the same as any other dine-in though. 5 dishes plus rice porridge is about $25. A good place ot eat if you are just on the run! more

Skip out on the steamed rice and get the rice porridge here! Goes great with all the dishes especially the salty or spicy ones. Personal favorite include the shrimp, salty fish, bean curd, soybeans. Parking can fill up quickly as it's located at a strip mall, but the nearby San Gabriel Superstore has lotsa parking. more

Cheap and Great 6/30/2005

Lu's garden offers a wide variety of small taiwanese dishes at a very cheap price. There is always something that will suit you. They offer you an option of rice or porridge with your small dish. However, for to-go customers, there is an additional costs if you want porridge. There is also free refills for rice or porridge for dine-in customers. So feel free to have them fill it up for you! more
