Lupita Mexican Restaurant

This is literally my first restaurant review ever. I never bother with things like this. However, I like this place so much, that I felt like I had to take the time to register, just to share my opinion. To sum it up quickly: Great food; Great Service; Great atmosphere. My wife and I eat here regularly. Every single time, we are greeted like we are family, told to sit wherever we would like. Within a minute of sitting down, we are being served chips with home-made salsas, our drink orders are taken. Everyone who works here is friendly, and prompt. You won't wait around wondering where your waitress is here. Ever. The food is GREAT. This isn't tex-mex -- if you want that, go to Papasitos or something. This is more authentic mexican. And damn good. The food is all prepared fresh, from quality ingredients -- you can taste it. They make their own tortillas (you can buy them separately to take home if you'd like. dirt cheap), which are served hot and obviously very fresh. Everything is fresh and cooked from scratch for that matter. The service, as I've said, is GREAT. Waiters at high end restaurants could learn a thing or two from these people at a little hole-in-the-wall mexican restaurant. You will never be ignored, wonder where your waiter is, at this place. You will never encounter a rude waiter. The atmosphere, as I also said, is GREAT. This is most likely due to just how good this place is. How can you be in a bad mood when at a jewel of a place like this? To top it all off, it's cheap. Two dinners, an appetizer, some drinks... you're looking at maybe $35. I hate a lot of places. I never bother reviewing anything. But this one place, I just have to. That's how good the overall experience is. If you want some mexican food and are in the area, run, don't walk. Ignore anywhere else. It doesn' t get better than this. more

What a surprise when my wife and stumbled upon Lupitas. I can make a meal of their salsa and delicious charro beans. We often split an entree and leave stuffed. The staff is very friendly. This is our go-to spot for Mexican in Sugar Land! more

My husband and I love going to Lupita's the food is great; prices are reasonable and great service. The salsa is delicious very flavorful and fresh. The beans you get when your chips arrive are always really good. Our favorite dish to order is the Amanda Steak, it is delicious!! The meat is always so tender and the flavor is amazing I highly recommend it. Overall everything on the menu is great we have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is nice and family friendly. more

My wife and I dined in the restaurant for sons first birthday and left our diaper bag at the table. We realized when we got home that we had left our diaper bag at the table and called the restaurant but was told there was no diaperbag left behind. We are 110% sure the diaper bag was left there, that was our last stop and did not go anywhere but straight home after. Inside the bag was a Casio video camera and Flip digital camera w/ priceless photos of our baby boys birth all the way to his first birthday party,haircut,etc...that we will never replace..We have yet to speak with management and have been given the run around by employees of th restaurant. We have filed a police report with sugarland pd and believe the waitress was involved based on her being there that night and her suspicious behavior when confronted ..So please beware of dishonest employees willing to steal from customers and lazy management. If they do this, then whats next, credit card scheme aimed at paying customers?..be on guard, let our mistake be a warning to all! more

I was told about this place from a friend. The ceiling is filled with colorful pinatas and the kids love it. The hot flour totillas are bigg enough to wrap the fahitas then tie em in a knot. The dips and chips are good. Pros: atmosphere!! Cons: chairs? more

I BEEN TO ALOT OF MEXICAN RESTAURANT AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST I BEEN TOO. ALSO, HE SERVICE IS QUITE GOOD. more
