My regular florist, 38th Street Flowers, had closed at 3 for the holiday weekend (I should have checked). I had to be in St. Paul to run another errand and wanted to buy flowers for a friends birthday (I had in mind the beautiful deep gold medium stem roses I'd bought the previous day for a hostess gift). 38th Street Flowers has the most amazing selection and really creative designers. Lund and Lange did not have nearly the selection of roses and theirs were so much more expensive! I had paid under $20 for a dozen roses at 38th Street (I have bought roses there for 10+ years. They always arrange them. Always put in nice filler. Their roses last and last and last). At Lund and Lange, I paid nearly $40 for only three long stem roses and a few other sprigs of blooms and some cattails. I did spend $5 for a glass liner for the Murano style vase I brought in for the flowers. But, I was sorely disappointed by how skimpy and meager the bouquet looked. When I commented on how it wasn't much for the price, they explained to me part of the price was the labor cost of putting them in the vase. (high labor cost for how long it took and what I got). I am not happy with the quality nor the quantity. Can't recommend.
