Great food and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is very laid back. Its a great place to go for out of town guests and other events. For a more casual evening the bar area is a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy a drink. more

Great food 4/9/2009

Luna's is a nice restaurant with great atmosphere. I also attended a wedding reception there and it was lovely. The food is good and reasonably priced. When I lived in Gainesville we would always go to Luna's on special occasions. Lovely restaurant I would highly recommend. more

Good place for nice evening out! 10/5/2008

A nice, quiet atmosphere and really good food. Everything I have had there has been good. The service has also been very attentive and knowledgeable. A little more expensive that most restaraunts in Gainesville, but for the food and atmosphere it is right on par. more

Excellent Service and Food ! 7/28/2007

I was taken to Luna's as a business luncheon. The staff was exceptionally attentive and professional. Many business's are lacking in Customer Service this day in time, but Mr Juan has it under control in his establishment. The owner actually stepped by introduced himself and asked if we needed anything, very impressive. The pasta w/ cilantro and crab was wonderful as well as flavorful. My husband is a chef and I don't think he would have dreamt of mixing cilantro and crab. The dipping oil for the baguette was like a citrusy parmasean and was great. Calamari appetizer was the best around, and the Creme' Brulee was wonderful as well. The staff was VERY on top of things and I would highly recommend it and I will be a repeat customer. The atmosphere would be very romantic in the evening. Pros: EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE AND FOOD Cons: NONE more

  • Luna's Restaurant is a casual fine dining restaurant located on the downtown square in Gainesville. Offering our guests the freshest ingredients and prime meats available in our market. Our piano lounge offers a full bar and live local entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights and reservations are welcome and encouraged in our main dining room. Luna's also offers private dining rooms for larger groups and parties as well as a full off site catering menu and staff. Our menu boasts items such as prime in house cut steaks, fresh seafood, New Zealand Lamb, fresh made soups, fried green tomatoes over romaine, double cut bone in pork chop, local trout, salmon, Ahi tuna, just to name a few. Luna's is open for lunch Monday thru Friday from 11:30-2:30 and dinner from 5:00-10:00 Monday thru Thursday and Friday and Saturday until 11:00. Luna's Piano Lounge also offers a 70" LCD HD TV for special sporting events along with a nice list of featured cocktails and spirits as well as high end cognacs and cordials..
