Went to Luna Park for the first time with a friend last week and thought it was a bit over-hyped. First of all make sure to bring money for parking because you will either have to...

Nicest place I have been to in a while 11/21/2006

Luna Park - great portion sizes - not huge and so much flavor packed in each bite, interesting drinks and yummy smores for dessert. Did not care for our waitress though, she was a little snobbish but still gave us our food on time. Definitely make reservations...Oh, and this won't cost you too much unless you drink a lot... Bartenders are really cute too. more

nice friendly atmosphere with decent food 12/11/2005

went here on a weeknight, and yes, it was crowded. but although our reservations were for 6:30 and we were running about a half hour late, they still sat us at a nice and cozy booth. i heard lots of great things about the appetizer fondue so we had to order it (for five people). what came was a tiny ramekin of a cheesy mixture, with toasted bread and apple slices. it was tasty, but the size was tiny compared to what i expected. our food portions were generous and satisfying. the flavors were nothing groundbreaking, but this is not a five star restaurant. the wine flowed freely, staff were friendly and accomodating and even helpful when we asked for recommendations. i would definitely go back- its a nice place to go with friends for a leisurely dinner. more

fondue is good 9/25/2005

Luna Park is crowdy but cozy, a trendy yet intimate place to enjoy a good meal. The place is well-known for its fondue, whether it be the appetizer of bread dipped in warm, gooey goat cheese, or dessert of apple slices and melted caramel... or make-your-own s'mores. Entrees and drinks are eclectic and extremely creative. The only downside is the wait, considering its popularity. more

date place 9/1/2005

Not sure if I would classify this as American food but it's probably a bit of a fusion type place. The ambience is fun. Go on a friday nite and you will expect a wait. i think they are famous for their mojitos. The food is not that expensive but it's not that great. I have had better food elsewhere. Also, it's a little loud for a first date. I would opt for a place that's a little more quiet. more

Editorial
  • In Short
At night, the lofty space is an intimate, bohemian den with crimson-colored walls and candles on every dark-wood table. But heavy gold curtains and kitschy crystal chandeliers...
