Today, Luna came out for a whole house measure/quote. I told the scheduler that this will NOT be a one call close, as our new carpet is part of a much larger whole house remodel, and we needed to put together a spreadsheet of line items. She assured me it would be no problem.
Mike, works in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, stated he was a manager. When I told him this would not be a one call close as I have mentioned when making the appointment, he told me "I have 8 other appointments, so I won't be measuring today." He put his shoes on, basically telling me how they make $100,000 a day as a company and only go to homes of people "ready to buy".
I would not be wasting my time if I were not serious about this project.
IF YOU'RE NOT READY TO BUY FROM THEM ON THEIR FIRST VISIT, DON'T BOTHER MAKING AN APPOINTMENT.
I could not believe how rude it was - that they are SO big and successful, they "don't waste their time with PROSPECTS".
What this "savvy manager" doesn't know or understand, is that I also have a rehab biz that flips about 8 homes a year, and 90% of the time, those homes need new carpeting throughout the entire house.
Luna's loss, as they will not get a second chance.
THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IN BUSINESS TO ACCOMMODATE CUSTOMERS - THIS "MANAGER" OBVIOUSLY THINKS CUSTOMERS ARE SUPPOSED TO ACCOMMODATE THEM.
Ridiculous. They won't be called again.
