Lums Restaurant

We've been going to Lum's for years and until tonight had never had a complaint. I have an altered stomach and am unable to eat more than a cup of food at a time. Knowing that, I probably shouldn't have ordered the buffet, but it looked good and even Golden Corral will let you take home your leftovers. I half filled a plate and got a bowl of soup. I was able to actually eat the bowl of soup and a few bites of baked apples. The hostess gave us a takeout bowl, so I figured it was ok to fill it before we left. I wasn't trying to hide it. Because the waitress saw me fill it, she wouldn't let me take my leftovers without an additional charge. I told her to throw it all away. Because we were treated so poorly, we will never go back. Of you expect to be treated fairly, and like to receive food value for your money, don't go to Lum's. I paid $12.95 for a bowl of soup and it wasn't that good. more

Good: I used to really like going to Lum's to eat because you could get a salad/soup bar with you meal if you ordered an entree. The servers would cater to the customers and want them to feel that they wanted our business. My husband and I have been going to Lum's for at least 20 years. And really loved the place.. Bad: What I don't like about Lum's these days is the fact that since the new owners have taken over, the steaks are not what they used to be. We asked our server if they started getting steaks from antoher source or why are the steaks so different. She said that the steaks were from Omaha Steaks, she thinks. The steaks are grainy and unflavorful and tough. When my cashier asked about our meal, I said it wasn't very good, she said "oh" and that was it. Nice huh!!. Improvements: I would like to see things they way they used to be. I feel that now, we are just someone the server has to deal with. We don't feel special when we come in.. Other: It has been 6 months since I was at Lum's until tonight, frankly, I don't know if I will return again. My husband and I used to eat there every Sunday for Brunch and really enjoyed it. Now, we are just a ticket to drop on the table after they check on you once and maybe refill our drink after we ask. It also seems that now the long term staff that was once there seems to be gone, that may have something to do with the bad service. I think there is only 2 original servers left that we saw.. more

Lums is a super great place to eat no matter what time of the day it is. They have Breakfast , lunch and dinner specials. Their specialty is Liver and Onions. They are the best. The place is clean and the wait staff is friendly. They prices are great also. They have a lunch buffet for lunch also. more

A quaint, homey little restaurant located in Bellevue, NE where you can get a home cooked meal and VERY generous portions. Kid-friendly, this place has been around for awhile and if you visit it you'll see why. The desserts are absolutely delectable, you gotta try the strawberry shortcake w/ homemade whipped cream!!! more
