I wanted perfect eyebrows - the kind in Vogue magazine. All my trips to the best eyebrow waxer at Nordstrom never got me close. She never told me that all the waxing and tinting in the world would never get me more than cute little brows. She didn't tell me that I needed permanent makeup eyebrows, but I heard from a friend that there was one person in the Seattle area to see. And when my friend said she had her own eyebrows permanently done, I was surprised - her brows were perfectly shaped and blended a blond color. I had only seen women walking around with obviously badly-tattooed black eyebrows, so I had no idea that they could be color matched! I had to see what could be done with my shrinking brows. \r

I called my friend's permanent makeup artist, Marta Card at Luminosity, and I was instantly put at ease by her professional attitude. By the way, she is safety conscious because she comes from (and still practices and teaches) in the dental field. We met at her lovely and clean office and looked through her eyebrow books and magazines to choose my brows. Using powder and stencils, she made multiple minute changes until she and I were satisfied and ready to go on. After I approved the powder brows, she applied a topical cooling gel and then applied the permanent makeup. When she was done, I was ecstatic -- I had perfect brows for the first time in my life! They framed my face and they are Vogue beautiful - Marta is a genius! What did my husband say? He said I looked drop dead gorgeous! Now I may have to get some perfect lips from Marta.
Pros: Brilliant makeup artist, medical cleanliness
