Best Omelette, Pet-friendly, Outdoor dining 4/6/2008

It's a great place for brunch or casual lunch with friends. They have a wide menu and reasonable prices. We only waited for 10 min during our Sunday visit. Our food was tasty and service was quick. Just don't order your bagel with a side of cream cheese...unless you're willing to pay $2 for a 1 tb serving of cream cheese! Pros: Outdoor dining, good breakfast menu Cons: Street parking, $2 side order of cream cheese(?) more

If you want your fish on a hook 3/4/2008

I order from Lulu's once a week and usually receive quality food. Yesterday, however, I ordered the Salmon Entree and the fish was uncooked in the inside and I had to microwave it to finish it off. Worst of all, there was a very sharp bent piece of metal inside (about 3/4"" long, 1/16"" diameter). I bit on it and thankfully took it out of my mouth before it could have done much damage. Pros: wraps are great Cons: soup, raw fish, foreign objects in food more

Top 5 Breakfast spots in L.A.! 5/1/2007

When I want to have an enjoyable breakfast, Lulu?s always comes out on top. It?s super casual, the food is always good, and they have great coffee! A nice place to meet friends. It is usually busy so be ready to wait about 20 minutes. If you go there during the week they have good specials in the A.M. I do not have a dog but they are dog friendly. Pros: Really good food and coffee Cons: Usually a 20 minute wait on the weekend more

Great breakfasts 4/7/2007

This was my first trip to Lulu's, and I'm already a fan. The make-your-own omelet or scramble is a great option, with your choice of four ingredients--I went with avocado, bacon, tomatoes, and cheddar. And there are plenty of items to choose from. The coffee may be a touch strong for my taste, but it's good nevertheless. I was also intrigued by the variations on Eggs Benedict. For those who want a breakfast that isn't egg-centered, there are griddle items and yogurt and fruit. And, of course, there's lunch. more

Just like home 11/14/2006

I love this place. If you want a great breakfast then lulus is the spot. I have just finished reading the reviews on this little cafe and i was in shock to see the last review. I have always had great meals and the people have always been very nice. My guess is the person who wrote this just hates on most places after seeing his other reviews. So take it from me this place is the best. Try it for yourself. It is just like having a home cook meal without doing the leg work. Pros: Fresh fruit, great people Cons: not open at night more

Customer Service is Optional 8/17/2006

You would think this sister property to Toast on 3rd would be as wonderful, not the case. The food is good, although not as creative as Toast, but the customer service is severly lacking. Twice now the wait staff has lost my order resulting in our party walking out. Just today the waitress served me a BLT when I ordered a Club Sandwich. She then proceeded to tell me what she heard and that I was mistaken. more

great place to eat 7/8/2006

Fun, fast and great food....who could ask for more...had lunch last week...the french toast is like candy... more

Great little hangout in LA! 9/7/2005

I love Lulu's. It really is just a great little cafe. There is a plethora of options for you, whether you want a huge omelette or an overflowing salad. I love the Summer Caprese salad - a huge chopped salad with chicken, avocado, buffalo mozzerella, and a TON of fresh lemon juice. If you don't like lemons, it might be a little much, but it just tastes so fresh! Their quesadillas are a little greasy, but are so good and ooze out cheese. Lulu's isn't too expensive, but isn't too cheap either. I think they charge enough since your portions are so big. I would definitely recommend this place! Pros: fresh salads, awesome breakfast, outdoor seating more

Trendy & Dog-Friendly!!! 6/23/2004

Typical LA! I always see this place packed, so when we ate there for Sunday brunch, I anticipated the 20 min. wait. Once you get a table, though, service is really fast and efficient. Prices are reasonable and the food is great (typical Californian fare). Bill (pretax and tip) for 2 special omelettes, 1 apple juice & i vanilla latte was $25.44. I love it too that the dogs can just laze around or sit on our laps while we eat. Will come back! Pros: Cheap Food, Dog Friendly, Trendy more

Live off Lulu's 5/8/2003

Okay, I eat here twice a week and I named my dog after this place. Need I say more. Everyone I take here, gets addicted!! Pros: Fresh food, Variety, Kick back Cons: parking more

Great Find! 9/30/2002

Ate here for the first time today after seeing how many people eat there. Boy was I pleasently surprised. Untill 11am on weekdays, all breakfast items are 5.95. This is an incredible value. The food is good. The portions are big. Service is ok. Cute ambiance. I had the house scramble. Excellent! Pros: GREAT VALUE, GOOD FOOD, CUTE Cons: Could have bettersrvc more

Yum Yum Gimme Some 7/18/2002

What a find! Nothing fancy-schmancy about this place, just good food. Breakfast served all day and some great sandwiches and wraps for lunch. Portions are large and they better be cause it is not inexpensive. Omlettes, french toast and the tuna sandwich are my faves, but just about everything there is great. Don't do delivery though: it takes forever and they add on quite a hefty delivery fee. Weekend brunch, it is very crowded. Pros: large portions, large menu Cons: street parking tricky, service bit slow more

our favorite brunch joint 6/1/2002

the menu is huge. portions are good sized. they are very flexible in special orders. we go there almost every week! breakfast is just as good as lunch. get an outside table and oogle...we usually see someone famous every time we go. love the make your own scrambles. bad coffee....go up the street to Insomnia for better coffee afterwards. bring the paper, sit back and relax. Pros: fresh ingredients, big menu, star sightings Cons: street parking, nasty coffee more
