Luigis, just the BEST Italian food I've had anywhere! 1/29/2009

My wife and I have been eating here for several years and the food and service are simply AMAZING. We have NEVER walked out of there dissatisfied with our meals. The lasagna is to die for. The smokey cheese blend they use in this dish and others, sets it apart from any lasagna I have ever had. You will not be disappointed when you go there. The decor is Tuscan/old Italian and it just has a really great feel to the place. I can't recommend this place enough. Pros: Lot's of food, great service, amazing taste more

Great Portions...a Must Eat At Restaurant 1/11/2009

I went there not sure what I was expecting. The food was served in large portions which was great. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the company too. I was seated in a small but cozy booth that offered a lot of privacy for a date. The restaurant caters to all ages. The food was wonderful, the service attentive and I will defenitely like to go there again. Pros: Food, Ambiance, Decor Cons: Crowded parking lot....had to park across the way at a grocery store more

GOOD FOR ALL 6/20/2007

I've only been twice and it was fantastic! Great family style portions (which is great for people who want to taste a little of everything) attentive staff, and the food was good too. The Salmon was delicious, and the pizza had the best crust and freshest ingredients. Great prices for a group. Pros: value, service, portions Cons: a little voyage to get there from the city more

Can't say enough good things 4/2/2007

One trip here and you'll never go back to The Olive Garden. They can get crowded, so if you're planning on bringing a large group during dinner time or are crunched for time on the weekends, call ahead or make reservations. Even if you don't and have to wait, the food is worth it. The entrees are big enough so that two can split them with just enough room left over to split a desert (which are as wonderful as they are gigantic). The appetizers are also pretty good (especially the bruschetta), but unless you have more than 3 people in your group or you plan on taking food home, don't bother. A word of advice: all the deserts are fabulous, but give the special (whatever it is) some strong consideration. I haven't been let down yet. Their service has routinely been out of this world, and although it can end up being a couple bucks more per person than The Olive Garden (and we're talking like $2), it is well worth it. Pros: Food, service, atmosphere, food, ambiance, the specials, food Cons: the restaurant can fit an unbeleivable number of people in it and still feel intimate, but you can end up waiting upwards of 45 minutes for a table. That should tell you something. more

Very cute atmosphere. 11/3/2006

Very adorable rooms. They are not cheap with the pasta, a couple could easily share a meal and still be stuffed. We found the service to be decent each visit and the food consistant. It has an outdoor patio for alfresco dining. And there is a bar for smokers that features live entertainment on the weekends. All in all we enjoyed our time there. Pros: It's very nicely decorated Cons: Can get really busy, make a reservation more

Great mushroom soup 10/11/2006

I really liked the food here. We went there because it was listed in a recent Wine Spectator as as wine-savvy restaurant. They do have an extensive wine list. I ordered red wine and it came out in a small white wine glass. When I asked for a red wine glass I was told ""none are currently available."" I'm going to let Wine Spectator know this. I would be very disappointed to buy one of their expensive red wines and have to drink it out of a tiny white wine glass. Besides if they don't have red wine glasses available I don't think they should be recommended by Wine Spectator. Definitely go there for the food but skip the wine. Pros: Good service Cons: Inappropriate glassware more

Great Food, Poor Service 5/16/2006

Great food. Wait was long. When asked about how much longer the wait would be (from the working manager), received an attitude from the manager. Wasn't happy at all. Ruined the atmosphere. Pros: Food Cons: Price, Wait more

Back home in Italy 1/14/2006

What a great time my family had at this unique restaurant. Even my Italian mother-in-law promised to return for the Peasant Pasta and Frangelico cheesecake. Each room is like a different room in a house. Service by Mike was prompt and professional but not stuffy. Our group of 12 stayed a little longer than we intended when we discovered the piano bar. Just the right level of music for another glass of wine and conversation. Pros: Food , Atmosphere, Pricing more

A Step Above Hot Dogs 7/4/2004

Owned and operated by the genius who brought us Portillo's Hot Dogs, Luigi's House features a dark rich atmosphere and some of the most savory Italian cuisine ever. If you haven't made reservations and the place is packed ask how long the wait is for smoking. Often Fri and Sat night will have over an hour wait for non and immediate seating for smoking - plus there's live music in smoking. Pros: food, atmosphere, ambience Cons: , pricey, wait more
