Lucchetti's is a thief 3/24/2010

I have been using Lucchetti's for awhile now!! Recently I have not had good service with them. A few months ago I went in for new front brakes, because according to Lucchetti's they were the only ones that needed to be replaced. I left Lucchetti's and the brakes were making a clicking noise. I had to bring my car to the dealership for work, so I had them look at the brakes. They said they looked fine, but Lucchettie's forgot to put the shims on the brakes. When I went to Luccchetti's I told them about the clicking and the dealer looked at the brakes and said the shims were not there. Lucchettie's responce was I needed to give them $510 for new rear brakes. They said the rear brakes went, which caused the front brakes to lock and wear out which is the cause of the click noise. Which in my eyes is bull!!! Between leaving Luccetti's parking lot after getting my front breaks done, my rear brakes went and wore out my front brakes? And it's weird also because the dealer looked at the brakes more

Expensive 5/1/2007

my experience with lucchettis - and that of family members - has been very different than the previous reviewer's. i have found them to be very expensive and they may recommend preventative services in a VERY preventative way. i.e., if your brakes have 20,000 miles left in them, they'll recommend you get them done now, whereas another mechanic may tell you to come back in ten or fifteen thousand. also, for small jobs - maybe something that should take fifteen minutes - they'll bill for a full hour. last time that happened, it left a bad taste in my mouth and i decided not to use them anymore. more

Excellent service, fair prices 11/7/2005

I have been using Lucchettis for several years and have found them to be fair, fast and affordable. I' have never gotten the vague "I'm being ripped off" feeling that accompanies so many other trips to an auto service center. The mechanics there will tell you whether something is worth fixing or not, and also tell you everything that NEEDS to be fixed but what you can get away with NOT fixing right at that moment. I've never walked in to pick up my car and gotten a surprise when I got the bill--they stick close to the estimate and call you if they find anything needing more repair. more
