When I ran over a pothole and went into Lucas Tire for an estimate, I should have walked away the moment I heard the woman in front of me in line say, "I had my tire fixed here yesterday, and today it exploded." Instead they replaced the two front tires and tried to straighten the bent rim on my VW. The next day on the highway, the car was vibrating violently and making a lot of road noise. I pulled off and took it to the dealer who explained Lucas had put the wrong tires on the car and had ruined the aluminum rim "by pounding on it" adding that they should have known that rims of this type "cannot be straightened in house and must be sent out." Took the tires back to Lucas to explain their mistake and was told by Bridget, the daughter of the man who had helped me, that they did not guarantee their work and did not take tires back. On my way out the door she said, "And you should get a bigger shirt. Your stomach is sticking out." What the size of my shirt has to do with their dishonesty and lack of professionalism beats the heck out of me, but if you want to keep your sanity, your money, and your dignity, don't step foot in their door.
