I had a wonderful experience the other day and I wish every shopping experience at a hardware store could be so easy. I called up Lowe's first to see if they had a part that I needed. I wasn't sure what department I needed so I had the operator transfer me to the right department when I explained the part to her. I told the guy in the department the generic term of what I was looking for, a double gang low voltage plate and he found it, told me the price, which aisle, and what color the box was--very nice!
I drove to the store, followed the guy's instructions, found the part, went to the cashier (no wait, which was nice), paid for the part, got a nice and friendly thank you from the cashier and was on my way.
