We visited this observatory when we were in the area on vacation. My kids loved the whole experience. The staff were friendly, the view was amazing and they even saw Jupiter and four of its moons. My daughter said she liked this better than the Grand Canyon. Admission is very reasonable. more

Astronomy /Observatory 7/31/2005

This is an extremely nice observatory. It has the famous Hubbell telescope and a very nice planetarium. They have frequent scheduled events-at night of course! I could easily spend a whole day there with all there is to see and do. This observatory discovered the planet Pluto!! A great place to spend a day (or evening) with the kids and actually learn something in the process. This observatory also has a nice science/astronomy related gift shop to browse through and buy from. more
