Great Pizza 10/15/2008

Lovezzola's is a local favorite and a family owned restaurant. Their pizza is delicious! The prices are reasonable and the staff is super nice. They also offer delivery options!! more

OK... but could be better 5/11/2008

Growing up in this area, Lovezzola's was a staple in the community. The food and family atmosphere USED to be great, now a bit different. The food is OK, no bells and whistles!! It really depends on who is cooking. The service, or lack of, is not what it used to be. Not sure if the younger folks working there have gone through a customer service class; they may want to. As for delivery service, I have ordered take-out several times and most all have had something wrong, forgotten, or both! Overall, it's kind of a catch 22, want certian menu items (exclusive to Lovezzola's) or go somewhere else.... more

We gave them more than enough chances to do a good job and yes, there were a few good pies but after the call I just made to them, I will never call them back (bad service too) and I hope you dont either, but if you do, you were warned more

  • In June of 1969, Paul Lovezzola had his first taste of the pizza business while working as manager of Badinos Pizza on Washington Street in Natick, Massachusetts. After only three short months as manager, Paul purchased Badinos Pizza and renamed it Padinos. Due to increasing overhead, he downsized and relocated to South Main Street in Natick, Massachusetts. After six long years and working two jobs trying to pay off debt, Paul & Juanita moved the family to Savannah. When they arrived, they had no intention of continuing in the pizza business. After two unsuccessful months in searching for a job, Paul's father-in-law told him about a vacancy in the Pooler Shopping Center. With no other choices, Paul & Juanita opened Lovezzola's Pizza & Subs in January 1978. After five successful years, they started the construction of a full sit-down restaurant, which Pooler lacked at the time. In 1983, Lovezzola's Pizza & Subs changed its name to Lovezzola's Pizza Family Restaurant relocated to its current location at 320 E. Hwy 80. Lovezzola's Pizza Family Restaurant is operated by the Lovezzola family ; Paul, Juanita, Steven, Sherri, and Timmy. Everyone is involved in making the business what it is today.. Catering
