Louisville Horse Trams

I have taken many carriage rides with many of these drivers. They have allways been professional. I have become friends with a few of them. First of all I would like to address the two negative reviews. For one thing whenever this company has two drivers up front, that indicates one of thoes drivers is in training. So of course the two drivers are going to speak to each other. The drivers allways ask if thier ride wants a tour. If the passengers are into thier own conversation, the driver will leave them alone. To address the other review. Drivers (by law) are not permitted to smoke while they have passengers. Many times drivers will be smoking while people walk up to the carrige, but they allways throw the cig out. As for the rest of her "rant" I have never known a driver to yell at anyone, they are hired for thier friendly and mellow attitudes. I believe (and have it on good athority) that there was alot more to this than meets the eye. Please try this company for yourself. more

Last night my boyfriend and I drove down to Louisville from Cincinnati to see a show at the Louisville Palace. Beforehand, we ate dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory, and after dinner my boyfriend had a carriage take us to the theater. The carriage driver was smoking and it kept blowing in my face. She said she would come back to take us back to the restaurant where our car was when the show was over. We called the card she gave us after the show and they said they closed down for the evening because business was slow. I told dispatch that we were depending on the driver to take us back to our car...she called me a liar when I told her that the carriage driver said she would come back for us. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Pros: Wasn't even romantic b/c the driver kept talking on cell. Cons: Left us stranded. The driver smoked during the ride. Rude. more

We went on a ride about a year ago. Not too far because we didn't know what to expect and we didn't want to spend to much in case we didn't like it. It was around 8pm in June and so hot, we mainly just sat in traffic. We took the Cinderella carriage and it was kinda romantic but the two women driving just sat up front talking and laughing so it wasn't great. We wasted like 30 bucks. We'll never do it again. If you have the money then I'd ride along the riverfront but I'm not willing to pay it! more

I have had the pleasure of taking a ride from Louisville Horse Trams a couple of times. Most of the time, it was after dining at the Old Spaghetti Factory. It is such a romantic experience! You can choose the distance and length of ride that you would like. And if you ask, the drivers will tell you about some of the history of Louisville and the tings you are passing. If you ever have any extra time, I would definitely recommend doing this. more
