This is one of my favorite places in the Gables for lunch, dinner and take-out. I have been coming to this place for well over 20 years and the quality of food and service has remained top notch. My favorites include the spring rolls, shrimp or tofu pad thai, cashew chicken and fried doughnuts for dessert. more

As authentic as Thai food can get in the U.S. Family owned and very friendly. Don't confuse this restaurant with all the sushi-thai abominations in this town. No nonsense here. Very nice wine list and an eclectic list of small brewery beers. more

The place was great! Great food, best service ever, and interesting decor. I went on a Saturday night n the place was practically empty while Red koi across the street was packed. I'm guessing it may be due to it not being as modern or flashy. But we had the volcano chicken an it was great, everything is cooked to order any way you like it. I definately recommend it. more

This was my favorite Thai place for decades (when they were near the supermarket). Fantastic Curry Duck .\r But very disappointed in my last 3 visits. Go to Bangkok Bangkok or Moon Thai & Japanese. more

This has been my preferred Thai restaurant in the Gables for years. Recently I've had 3 terrible meals there. Either the restaurant is under new ownership or they're having trouble in the kitchen. The serving of Massaman Curry was half the portion it used to be and lacking flavor or spice. The Volcano chicken was too sweet and had no heat at all even though I ordered it 4 stars. The Pad Thai is not the same at all. \r \r I've mentioned my disappointment with the quality of the food but so far nothing has changed. I'm looking for a new Thai restaurant in the Gables. Sadly, Lotus Garden is not what it once was. more

Consistantly great food and always friendly service. You can taste the freshness of their ingredients in the food. Lotus Garden has become my go to neighborhood restaurant and definitely my favorite Thai restaurant. Pros: food, service and prices more

Friendly atmosphere, ample portions, good food 10/1/2006

We and three friends were there to celebrate a Birthday. The food was delicious, no rush to pay the bill, smiles and good service. Friendly people. We were surprised we asked Tofu Curry and the portions were really large and generous and rice will be steaming hot and served every time! Great Food, Great Prices and the Hottest Servers... 8/14/2006

A friend and I went for lunch and we are really happy with our experience at Lotus Garden. I had the Yum Tofu which was sooo good and she had the chicken with ginger and mushrooms which looked delicious. We will definetly return for the Thai doughnuts. Pros: Fast Service for Lunch Time more
