Lost In Time Antique Mall

When it comes to antique shops and malls there is no debate that this mall has something for everyone. It will take hours to see all that is available. I keep reading slam reviews about the smell of cigarettes. This is a true petty review when you should focus on the mall and the huge variety of items to be found. If the smell of smoke is your highest concern then just stay home. Your not reviewing the mall and it's great selections with wonderful prices. The staff is top notch and willing to help you locate the items your searching for. I am more interested in the quality and availablity of items than the offensive smell of smoke. If your biggest concern is the smell of cigarettes than you should stay home and shop on the internet with your glade plug in's. Those who focus on the odor have not given a review of the mall just the petty attitude of an ex smoker. I highly recomend this as a source for just about anything. First and foremost the staff is a small group of men that truly are interested in customer service, which in today's environment is rare. Stop slamming this mall it is truly a great experience and you won't be let down. Sure the odor is offensive but just shop away from the counter and enjoy yourself. more

Stopped at Lost In Time thinking it was the place across the street. Loved it so much I went back later in the day with my mother, who also enjoyed the trip down memory lane. (We also went across the street to the store I had originally intended to go to, but it was a huge disappointment). This store has so much great stuff that by the time I made it to the far side of the store, I was just worn out from looking at everything! I agree with one of the other commentators who mentioned the smoking, though. I couldn't figure out where the smell was coming from until I went back to the front of the store and saw it was from the guys working there. That was the only bad thing about the store. If you can get past that, I'm sure you'd really enjoy looking around at the variety of antiques and vintage stuff. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in the area! more

First, I was not going to bother stopping here after reading the bad reviews. I also hate smoking. I was so pleasantly surprised! Wonderful selection, fair prices. To people who write bad reviews: You do have the right to free speech, but don't come crying that all the antique stores and malls are gone now. The Internet is great for information, but lets temper it with people who own and run them are humans. Pretty soon all you will have is the net for shopping if you slam good guys like these. Next time I pass through, I will stop for sure. Hope anyone reading this does too and posts their thoughts on a nice store. There is something for every one there. We are pottery collectors and they had some nice Roseville and a few Pieces of Rookwood. My husband collects toys and they had a great selection. We were very pleased. Lynne more

Lost in Time is a GREAT antique mall! They have a huge store and lots of variety. There are rows and rows of booths to browse through. A lot of the booths have sales throughout the year too! We are in the store for at least an hour every time we go. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help you out in any way they can. We've shopped there so much they knows our names and the kind of things we like to collect. There is no better antique mall in the Winston-Salem area! I am so glad that we discovered Lost in Time, it is my favorite place to shop! more

After spending all day in Greensboro antiquing we heard about Lost in Time Antique Mall.? It sounded just like the kind of place we would love.? Walking in the front door we smelled cigarette smoke.? I looked around but didn't see anyone smoking.? We decided to start on the far end away from the smell.?? We found some furniture we loved and decided to finish looking before we asked for assistance.? The closer we got to the front of the store the stronger the smoke smell was becoming.? As we rounded the corner the man at the cash register was sitting there smoking.? I started fanning the smell away and said I'm out of here.? As we walked past the room at the front there were ashtrays filled with cigarette butts.? I find the smell highly offensive.? If they have to smoke they should at least keep the door to that room closed and not smoke right out in the open.? The smell completely ruined our experience and we walked out without even purchasing the furniture we wanted (I'm sure I'll find something just as nice somewhere else).? There was no way we would stand right in the middle of the smell long enough to purchase the furniture.? As we walked out the door we noticed a sign on the front that read ""Please....no smoking, no food, no drinks.""? I guess the people working there forgot to read their own sign.? If you are bothered by cigarette smoke this is definitely NOT the place for you. Pros: good variety Cons: smokers more
