Discovered soon after moving into the neighborhood, Los Taquitos is a mainstay in my rotation of places to grab lunch or dinner for cheap. Their burritos are sizeable, I've finished an entire burrito once in one sitting only once. Their menu is standard and fairly comprehensive: tacos, burritos, tortas, sopes, gorditas, chimichangas, chile rellenos, nachos, quesadillas, etc. Their red and green sauces are tasty, and they have a mini buffet of toppings such as sliced jalepenos and pickled radish to put on your meal. Meat choices are plentiful including, chicken, carnitas, tripe, lengua, shrimp, asada steak, ground beef, and shredded beef. Sometimes there is lamb and beef cheeks to pick from. They have a cooler with a rainbow of Jarritos to choose from, as well as a tasty apple soda and some US sodas. The only thing missing is beer. The dining room is largely unadorned, but was recently painted with a colorful motif. There is a place to lock up your bike out front, and they carry the Mercury.
