I have found a beautiful restaurant in Chalfont with great food and service, the mole poblano is superb.

I've been comming to your establishment for years and years. I have seen your development over time and time again. But the most impressive is the consistency of your food and service. Hello my name is john Mendieta, due to my job I travel all over Central and South America and my favorite cuisine is the Mexican cuisine. Going of the beaten path like Mexico City, Cuernavaca Puebla and Morelia I must say that being a resident of Bucks County brings me as close to Mexico as being there. Los Sarapes has provided the experience and delicassies. I eat out 4 to 5 days a week. I must say that the consistancy and tasty flavors have always made my palet enjoyful, the atmosphere can't get me any closer to Mexico. So with this said Thank You Los Sarapes for bringing a piece of Mexico to Bucks County. more

One of my worst dining experiences ever 7/11/2010

This place was recommended to me by various co-workers, so my wife and I headed there with great expectations (sorry Mr. Dickens). I have a lot of experience working in the restaurant industry ? from fast food to very high end establishments. I have enjoyed Mexican food from coast to coast and have been to Mexico on 3 different occasions. On each occasion I have sought out and eaten at many different neighborhood cantinas. We love this place 7/6/2010

We've been here several times and had an excellent experience every time. Servers are friendly and accommodating to us and our 2 boys (aged 7 & 8) even when it's a packed house. The food is always good and the margaritas are excellent (and powerful!). The ceviche is good too. Pros: atmosphere, food, service, MARGARITAS! Cons: it's popular, you may have to wait more

Better Off Going to El Cactus Fountainville 12/3/2007

The food is overpriced and not that good. They are way overrated and definitely not as good as El Cactus which is right down the road. It is not kid friendly at all and they don't even offer you a free round of chips and salsa. The staff is snobbish and its not a friendly environment. Don't waster your time or money! more

Los Sarapes 4/21/2006

I go here several times a year and the food has never disappointed. The atmosphere is festive so go elsewhere if you are looking a quiet dinner. If you are looking for authentic Mexican then there is no other place. Their enmoladas, enfrijoloadas, mole poblano and tampiquena dishes will never disappoint. Great Maguaritas and mixed drinks. Expect to wait if you go on a weekend night and expect to pay more than you would for an evening at a ""Tex Mex"" type of restaurant. Pros: Great Food, Fun Atmosphere Cons: Limited Parking more

My friends and I usually enjoy our nights at Los Sarapes. The margaritas are the best I've ever had and the food is fabulous. But if you are looking for a romantic atmosphere, don't go here. The piano player sets a nice tone, but it's a strain to here him. Very $$$ as well. more

Not worth the wait 5/18/2005

we waited 45 minutes to be seated with a reservations and no apologizes. the server took a long time to take our order. we waited for an hour for the food and nobody asked us if we wanted anything. the food was good but not worth the wait. take out may be better. Pros: good food, big portions, unqiue selection Cons: poor service, rude, long wait more

Excellent Authentic Mexican Food 5/9/2005

My husband and I both agree the food is excellent. Authentic Mexican dishes. The Marguarita's pack a punch but that is the way I like them. We temporarily moved out of state but will be back shortly and Los Sarapes will be one of the first restaurants we will eat at! The wait staff is friendly and courteous. The only downside is the noise level. You have to practically shout to each other to hear, but that will not stop us from coming back. Pros: Marguarita's, Mexican steak dish, Authenticity Cons: Noise level, Wait time for a table, Pricey more

We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed!! The atmosphere is casual - the mariachi guy was fantastic! Go with your significant other & friends you will not regret it! If you like it spicy - try the meatballs!! Congratulations for Best of Philly Magazine for Margaritas & Tequila Bar- we agree!! Pros: Flavorful food, Awesome drinks, Exciting decor more

Overpriced 4/26/2004

I appreciate good whole fish. Unfortunately, they charge $32.50 for a whole fish special and don't bother to tell you the price. For a shopping center restaurant in the Philly suburbs, not the Ritz on South Beach, they got to be kidding. Very Overpriced, little value!!! more

Authentic Mexican and Great Service 12/20/2003

The food here is excellent. I have never had bad service and have never had to wait. The margaritas are very potent but that is how I like them. The menu is packed with variety and original dishes you won't find at other mexican restaurants. This is true authentic mexican and you won't be disappointed. The food here is authentic & very tasty. The margaritas are delicious as well. BUT forget about the service. They are MEAN. There are a list of ""rules"" inside the menu that you MUST obey. We do like the food ALOT but the service keeps us from not coming back more often. Pros: authentic food, great margaritas, nice atmosphere Cons: mean servers, too many "rules", noisy more

Awesome Mex-Mex 8/21/2002

You might have to wait for a table on Saturday night, but the food in this out-of-the-way Mexican (not Tex-Mex) restraunt is worth it. The menu is far more interesting than the standard burritos and fajitas -- try Memla or Albondigas al Chipotle. The seafood is great too. Pros: wonderful food, interesting menu, flavorful Cons: out of the way, might have to wait more
