My family use to love coming here but as of lately the quality of food and service has declined. For example, today we had lunch and had the following issues:\r 1) Served one person's main meal 10 minutes before the others were served\r 2) The fried plantain chips were cold and only a few served\r 3) The salads served were small.\r 4) Both orders of churrasco had 1 plantain each and they were undercooked.\r 5) They set down both orders of churrasco without asking who gets the medium rare cooked one and who gets the medium cooked one... they walked off without helping swap the dinners.\r 6) They forgot to serve one of us the white rice we requested\r 7) The wrong drink was brought for a child. How do you mix up lemonade with a coke?\r \r All in all, we will never go back again! more

Delicious Food and Great Service! 12/27/2011

This restaurant is one of the best restaurants that I have been to. The food is delicious and price reasonable and the service was great. I wish they had one in my area I would go more often. I highly recommend this place....you must try it at least once. Their churasco is very delicious and the gallo pinto is delicious! more

Great Latin cuisine, delicious meats (especially churrasco), good service, nice ambiance. more

bad service without a smile. 10/1/2011

I have tried to give this place a chance but get worse every time I go. The food is ok , its just the service that is horible. If you go don't have high expectations for service you won't be disapointed. more

Best service in town try the baby churrasco with their special sauces you may want to call ahead for reservations because of the good food and great service this place is always packed. more

They brought out some incredible sides for our 2 pieces of garlic bread a piece, with they would have returned with more bread. Dinner salads are small and, well uninspiring. I had the 'Baby Presidente' which melted in my mouth like butter. It was a very good piece of steak and the churrasco was fantastic. more

I really do not know what moved me to visit this restaurant one more time...\r Firstly, as soon as we enter, terribly noisy live music. Impossible to have a conversation at the table.\r \r I do not expect variety at this restaurant's menu, but could not believe that they did not have the dish that I wanted. I guess that they only serve churrascos now...Worst of all, the waiter, due to the noisy background, makes me know about this situation simulating with his finger a knife at his throat..meaning...there is not more left. Very professional.\r \r To end my night, I could not believe that they would include the tip on a table of two adults and a 4 years old kid.\r \r I am not going back to this restaurant. Period. more

Cheese sticks with no cheese, terrible service 6/30/2009

My party ordered two plates of mozzarella sticks. Not one of the sticks actually had cheese in them. When we brought this to the attention of our waiter, he laughed at us. The manager told us, preemptively, that we had to pay for them before we could even complain. I will never go back to Los Ranchos, and unless you're looking for mediocre shopping mall steak, stay away more

I went for the first time last Friday on the recommendation of a co-worker, I had been looking for a new place close to work for a good happy hour and/or dinner and found both @ los ranchos. It has an upscale feel without being too stuffy and is not as generic as PF Changs. Started at the bar and had a couple of drinks with friends. Reasonably price and delicious to boot. When we moved to the table we had warm friendly service and fresh bread was brought to us immediately. I know most ppl. would recommend churrascos ( which i stole a taste from my friend) but I have to vouch for the jalapeno beef tips. The spiciness and creaminess of the sauce is PERFECTION! I'm really big on desserts too and the tres leches and espresso at the end of the meal really hit the spot! more

I had not been to this Los Ranchos in a long time - I usually go to the one in Sweetwater - but let me just say...WOW!\r \r The whole restaurant looks recently remodeled and the new bar area is amazing. The food and service was as always Excellent!! Our waitress was professional and attentive and even pointed out a 2 for 1 special. We usually order Churrascos (which are the best here) however the special prompted us to try the Ranchero Steak which was just as good (my wife says even better) and again at 2 for 1 it was a steal.\r \r Highly recommended Latin Steakhouse and a good chance to practice your spanish. more

Great food, bad service. 2/22/2009

The food is great, always consistent. The problem was the waitress that took care of us. She was very rude, amking us feel like we were in a fast food reataurant/cafeteria. She was not very interested in making sure we were satisfied with our food. more

I went to Los Ranchos with my family here is one of the worse experiences ever around:\r 1. Reservation was for 7:30 pm. Table was ready around 8:15.\r 2. I was "showered" by one of the waitress who was carrying such a large tray with refreshments that he could not maintain equilibrium. There I was, sitting, soaked from head to toes!!\r 3. The guy came with a napking, "dried" my seat and bye bye!! The floor was all wet, the chair still was wet. I went to the bathroom too try to dry myself. No way, there was hand dryer!!!!! Only hand paper...\r 4. Finally, I understood it may have been an accident. Anyways, they "push" so much their people, try to receive so many people, tables are jammed together, that this kind of things may happen. This means they have a very poor restaurant administration!!!\r 5. The food: Terrible. We ordered "tacos". Tacos are an excellent mexican food. In this case, it was only a "trotilla" with beef inside. Only, that´s all. Beef was tremendously hard, no way to eat it. I returned back the tacos. They offered something else biut, at this stage of the journey, i did not want to eat anything else. Still soaked and trying to behave in a decent way.\r 6. After inquiring several times about my daughters soup, waitresss comes and says, sorry there is no more soup. Everyone had already finished dining and my 10 tr ol daughter still waiting.\r 7. Decided to leave: it took about 20 mins to leave. They brought the bill and the soup plus taco were charged. Returned back the bill. Waitress came with a new bill and the soup & tacos still in the bill. Finally, the third attempt was OK. They included a 15% discount in my bill.\r \r This is not about a discount on a $100 bill. It related to the whole unfortunate experience. They simply spoiled our dinner, my clothes and.... ¿WHAT? ¿SOMEONE IN THE WHOLE RESTAURANT CARED????\r ANSWER : ABSOLUTELY NO. more

Best Happy Hour 10/3/2008

All I have to say is 1/2 off on all drinks and appetizers Monday thru Friday 3PM-7PM at their bar. Pros: Great Happy Hour Cons: Not on weekends more

Greatest meat restaurant 2/15/2008

Los Ranchos in the Falls is one of the best places to eat. Their service is great all the time. If you like meat I would recommend The Baby churrasco and if you want it bigger get the normal size. Deserts are excellent especially the cheesecake. The price was reasonable and worth it. Pros: Great meat, a bar, TV, Great for big couples, fast service more

Disappointing 8/30/2006

We had an early dinner at Los Ranchos and it was a most diappointing experience. Although our waiter was pleasant enough, the dishes were placed on the table by two other servers who did not acknowledge us at all. A third server nearly knocked me out of my chair from behind while putting a high chair at another table. She didn't seem to notice though I received 3 good bumps and even turned around to look. Our food was lukewarm and very average. A gratuity was added for the two of us which seemed peculiar and a first time event for us though we dine out often. We won't be returning. Pros: Nothing Cons: Rudeness of waitstaff and room temperature food more

aphalling service 12/17/2004

when i first arrived, the waiter complained in spanish(thinking i didnt understand) about having to serve us. Servers were very cold, and once our food was served, no one asked us how everything was until about 10 minutes after we had finished. I ate my food thirsty because i could not locate a waiter to serve me more water. There was barely any customers in the restaurant! They had no reason to give such poor service, and to top it off they had the nerve to include the tip, and we were only a party of 2! i will never return there again. more
