Worst

I tried this place twice. The food was terrible, not very tasty. They don't even know how to make real Guacamole.

Better than any TexMex in Texas! 6/9/2010

I had a client in recently from Amarillo, TX and took him to a business lunch at Los Mariachis. He LOVED it! He said he was very particular about his Mexican food and he never expected Florida to have such a great Mexican restaurant. I only have an hour for lunch and I can get in and out in plenty of time to get back to work.\r \r The food is hot and fresh and lettuce and tomatoes are cold and crisp.\r \r They also have our favorite habenaro hot sauce at every table. I love this place! Pros: Great prices, fast service Cons: It's so good I don't stop eating! more

Best in Tampa Bay by FAR 5/3/2010

Those who I read here that have had bad experiences I feel bad for (and if I were you I would try again) because this is THE BEST Mexican restaurant in the whole Tampa Bay area...We drive all the way from Seminole Heights in Tampa (which is at least a 45 minute drive) to go here whenever we can. Outstanding Tex-Mex 7/5/2009

This is my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant in the Tampa Bay area. A wide variety of tasty Mexican dishes, good salsa and chips, creamy guacamole and consistently good. I've eaten here dozens of times and have always enjoyed it. On the weekends, they have a fun mariachi group that strolls the restaurant and serenades the guests. Highly recommended! Best Mexican in Pinellas County 8/12/2008

This place is awesome! I moved down here from Michigan last September and could not find a good or event decent Mexican restaurant in the Tampa Area. A friend mentioned Los M and I now I swear we go once a week! Carmeltia's is by far the worst Mexican i have had since I have been down here which is disappointing since they too moved down here from Michigan! I take all my friends, family and vistors and they all agree - it;s the best! Pros: Great food, quick service and very inexpensive for the size of the portions. Cons: That I live 30 minutes away. I wish they had one in St. Pete more

Wel, first of all they charge for everythin cheese lettuce tom., everythin ohh even togo boxes and lemon for your water...how rediculous is that. the food all tasted the same it was all just blaaaa.... I doubt we'll ever go there again not even if they pay us to! Pros: Fast service Cons: Food wasnt good at all salsa was the worse i ever had!! more

One of my favorite Mexican Restaraunts. Been going there since it's inception. Great friendly service and courteous employees. Great menu with a large selection and good drinks. Yes, the chips and salsa rock by the way. Definitely recommend this place to all. more

I have been looking for good mexican food in this town for several months and I finally came across this little gem! Don't go to Carmelita's it is awful. I absolutely love this restaurant! We have spent namy of my birthdays here as well as many other times throughout the year. The cheese dip is the best around. Friday and Saturday nights they have a Mariachi band which makes the dinner even better! Lunches are a great value and served quick. The waiters there really hustle to get you your food and drinks. WHITE CHEESE DIP!! 9/6/2005

We've been to several Mexican restaurants in the St. Petersburg area and this is the first one that had authentic white cheese dip! The food is a little bland, but add a little salsa and it's great! Go here if you like Mexican Food 5/22/2004

The ambiance is somewhat stark but friendly. You seat yourself so you get a seating at a table or booth and in the part of the resturant you prefer. The choices are good - the food is excellent. The meat is well spiced and they don't short change you. They have a full bar and the drinks are reasonable and good. The service is friendly, quick and efficient. One nice touch I like is that they put a small carafe of salsa on each table with small bowls to put it in so if you use a lot like I do you don't have to keep chasing a waiter down to get more salsa. Overall you can't do much better for a combination of reasonable prices and good food. Pros: Inexpensive, excellent food, fast service more

I've been going to Los Mariachis on the corner of Missour&Cleveland in Largo Fl for 14 years. When ever friends and relatives come to town, it's one of the first places we take them . We celebrate every News Years Eve and many many birthdays and anniversarys there.
