Great Menu - Tons of Choices 3/12/2011

We were sad when El Arroyo closed but now that we've eaten at Los Cucos several times I think we like it better! The menu has many, many options so it's fun to eat the whole basket of chips while mulling over our order. We've tried several dishes and they have all been excellent - it's traditional TexMex so head on over when you're in the mood. Still love the patio and deck and I just learned about the great margarita deals so we'll try those out soon. more

By far the best Mexican Restaurant in the Lake Travis area. 3/11/2011

The Bee Caves area has many choices when it comes to Mexican restaurants. For example there is Rosie's, Maudie's, Iron Cactus, Mesa Rosa, and Don Juan's. But Los Cucos blows them all away. It has an extensive menu of authentic Mexican cuisine. Several TV's throughout the restaurant. There is a grilled fajita plate with a green enchilada on the side which is delicious. The wait staff aims to please and the owner is a super nice guy. There are so many items on the menu I wanted to order, it will keep me coming back. more

Best Margarita Specials in Austin 11/2/2010

If you are a fan of the frosty beverage and enjoy a good deal, Los Cucos Mexican Cafe has one of the best happy hour specials Monday and Tuesday - $1.99 margaritas all day long. I'm particular about my margaritas and Los Cucos' are perfect - not too limey, not too strong, just right! The food is pretty yummy as well - standard Tex Mex but definitely full of flavor and served fresh and hot. The chicken and beef fajitas were excellent and the portion sizes are hearty so come hungry. They have one of the biggest menus I've ever seen so there is really something for everyone. The atmosphere is casual and they have a great outdoor patio. It's nice to finally have a good, authentic Mexican restaurant in West Austin and Lakeway! more
