Dance Excellence and Fun 9/13/2008

This is an amazing school! The school offers excellent dance training and knowledgeable, fun teachers. The director is a major support system for the girls in the school; She dedicates herself to each and every girl and leaves an open line of communication for parents. There is no maltreatment of any child in the school. Race, economic status, height, weight, etc are not factors here. The school is more than a community....it is a family. Do not come to this studio 11/15/2007

Do not go to this school. The Director Ms. Judi is very narrowminded and not open to parent feedback. My last conversation with her ended with her yelling at me and hanging up the phone. Bad mouthed other local schools and teachers of other studios by name. This makes me wonder how she treats her students as she does not allow parents (only MOMS!) to have class visits. I withdrew my daughter immediatly from the school. Good dance credentials but bad character trait for someone who should be a good role model. Very disappointed. Highly encourage others to interview Director Ms. Judi before enrolling your children.   • Los Ayres students have performed with two Russian Ballet companies (Bolshoi & Kirov) and two American Ballet companies (San Francisco Ballet and New York City Ballet). Los Ayres Students performed Christmas Nutcrackers at San Francisco Center. A 1992 Olympic gold medallist figure skater and a 'Dancing with the Stars' contest winner was a former Los Ayres student. Women have become professionals in dance, teaching, medicine and business careers by developing their self-identity, confidence, and poise through dance. The Los Ayres Gala event of the year includes all students performing in a two-hour dance production. Dance Excellence and Fun Los Ayres Dance Studios has been around for more than 60 years. The director used to dance professionally, but did not love the professional dance world. Height, weight, beauty, or economic status does not affect any dancer there. The school ends up becoming like a family to you and the directors influence makes a great effect on the lives of th e students.

    Los Ayres provides the finest quality instruction and has trained students for over 50 years. Excellent training is provided as well as lots of love. A special Pre-Ballet curriculum has been designated for children ages 4 - 6. Graded classes in Classical Ballet technique are scheduled for children ages 7 and over. Here, the child is introduced to Classical Ballet and exposed to intermediate and advanced ballet movements, including point technique. Jazz classes vary according to age and ability. Hawaiian classes are a compliment to the advanced dancers in style and form.
