Lorinda's Salon Spa Store

Lorinda's has the best colorists I can find. I get my hair done to red and have never left unhappy! Over the years I have tried some cheaper or more convenient location salons but I always returned to Lorinda's to get the best cuts and colors! I love the staff and they stay educated and current with all the trends. more

I wanted a person who knew how to cut hair. After going over how I wanted to have my hair cut she started. Bad mistake. She kept dropping the sizzors, picking them up off a dirty floor and cutting my hair. When I confronted her that it was all uneven she had someone else finishe up. Will never go back. I have been a very loyal client of Lorinda's now for several years, but recently I have been forced into finding another place. I started out as a client of Krystal's. When she left I was passed to Jesse. When he left I was passed to Sarah. When she left I was passed to Cindy. When she left I was passed to Lucia. When she left I was passed to Kelsie. When she left I was passed to Crystal Marie. And I just got another letter in the mail from them that she is now gone too. ALL THIS IN 6 YEARS!!! I have to admit that I was a bit frustrated that yet again I had to find another person to do my hair but most of all I mostly felt sad for all the people that work there. As a client I am only in there every 6 weeks so I can feel all the changes that goes on pretty accurately. I have noticed a huge dip in the moral since the remodel about 3 years ago. I truly feel like no one wants to work there anymore. Why is that? I have lost count at the number of people that they have hired and that have left too. Now I have lost another wonderful girl. And they really expect me to stay there and go to someone else that is probably just going to leave soon. Get a grip!!!....Hopefully someone there will read this. What is really going on there behind the scenes at Lorinda's?? more

Way overpriced. Salon doesn't look inviting. Stiff atmosphere. Music was bad. Not professional enough. Pros: plenty of parking. Cons: prices. more

I have been going to this salon for about 8 years and have had great service. Sandy has done my hair for most of those years and is excellent at doing what you want and can also give good advice. I've had several facial treatments and waxes at Lorinda's, and they've all been great. I'll admit it's no Gene Juarez, but the people are great and it's very affordable. It's clean, has good ambiance, and is the type of place you could even take a couple girlfriends for a pedicure if you can fit into their schedule. The one downside is that they are pretty popular so I have a hard time getting an appointment on short notice. Soon I'm going to try them out for a haircut. Found the salon with a free massage coupon in the mail. From the outside, not the kind of salon that I would usually go to (usually go to Gene Juarez or Seven), but once inside, I found knowledgeable and friendly staff. The massage with Leanne was great (going back!), but the best was my haircut with Sandra. She totally got what was wrong with my last haircut and corrected it. Styling was wonderful, unlike Seven where it was so-o-o bad the manager actually gave me a free haircut for my next time (there was no next time). Pros: Staff knew what they were doing Cons: Didn't care for the product sell at the end of the service. All salons do it though. more

Yes, I did get a great cut, which is why I went back three times. It looks and feels like a Super Cuts inside, and they charge for a high priced city salon. I also felt they are trying to put as many people in and out of the hairdressers chair as they could. They left me sitting for over one HOUR while she cut others hair, it was like they fit my cut in last minute. (I went three times and set my appointment up 5 weeks out.) It was like that every time I went. It took 3 hours to do a simple cut and color, because they had other clients they fit in around me. Then they charged me $180.00! If I am paying that price I want a better ambience then Super Cuts They also really try to up-sell you, and will do stuff to your hair you dont need to get the up-charge. I have a difficult time getting a good cut, so I asked for their most experienced person. Got an exceptional haircut from Sandra, who's extremely enthusiastic about her work and the salon, and who paid close attention to what I needed & wanted. My friend also received an amazing cut from Cynthia, who gave her the best style she's had in years. Very comfortable place -- but greatest surprise was price. ok so I have a hard time getting someone to do the same haircut twice. I went to Lorinda's to Crystal Marie three times. She nailed it, great shampoo, great haircut that was exactly the same and great atmosphere. I love this place. Pros: great atmoshphere, very consistent, awesome shampoo! more
