BEAUTIFUL ESTABLISHMENT!!! I was looking to find an art teacher for my son when a couple of different parents suggested Looking Glass Art Studio. One of my friends had her daughter's birthday party there and loved it!! I was shocked to see the review about the owner and art teacher hitting a child!! whiff...whiff...wait a minute...something smells..... The owner hit a child (in front of the parents) and yet... the owner was the one calling the police and had to ask the family to leave. I'm sorry, but if someone ""hit"" my child I wouldn't have wanted to stay. And yet this family did and posts a review later like the one below!!! It sounds like someone wanted to get a free party. Classy. Almost as ""classy"" as physically hitting one of the employees of her establishment. It sounds like the poor owner was the one victimized. She should take these people to court! I more

My child has been a student at the looking glass art studio for quite some time now. She is involved in other after school actives as well. Her absolute favorite activity each week are her art lessons on Monday at the looking glass art studio! She counts the days down each week till the next lesson. She LOVES Mrs. Julianne! Julianne truly is as proud of my child as I am.I highly recommend the looking glass art studio to everyone I know. I am truly amazed how my child has grown as an artist. Definitely the best art studio in the area. more

I went to The Looking Glass Art Studio as a guest for a 3 year olds birthday party May 14 2011. The owner of the establishment was very rude to the children as well as any adult that even spoke to her. She lacked any patience with kids. About 30 minutes after the party started she asked the birthday girls mother ""you don't seem happy with the party' maybe we should just stop it now and everyone should leave."" She did not wish to stop however and wanted to continue the party for the 2 hours that were scheduled and paid for ($275). Only about another 15 minutes later Julianne Woods (the rude owner) hit a kid across the head claiming to get him to move (what an agressive hit on a 3 year old thats not yours). The childs mother told Julianne not to touch her child. Immediately after Julianne yelled that the mother slapped her (did not even happen) and that she was throwing everyone out and calling the police. This was only 45 minutes into a 3 year olds party. The owner clearly didnt want to be there and had no interest in fullfilling her obligations of hosting the party. When asked for a refund she would not even consider it. Julianne Woods is a crook and should not be alone with your kids. Parents who do go to her please stay with kids and watch for bruises when they leave. more

The best art studio in Summerville. The owner takes a special interest in all her students. I am totally surprised each week with the wonderful pictures my daughter comes home with. HIGHLY recommend this studio!! more

My three girls have been studying at The Looking Glass for three years. I am amazed how much they have developed their talent under the instruction they have received there. They love to spend time at the studio, and it has given them such confidence in themselves. Such a great location too. more
