Dr. Strine treated my Ruby when she wasn't feeling well and she is 100% better! Dr. Freeman and Dr. Parsons are also very good and super nice. I have always had a pleasant experience at Longwood and would never switch to another vet! more

Dr. Parsons treated my cat for lymphoma and gave him an extra 3 months of quality, wonderful life. Had it not been for her, he and I would not have had that gift. She is incredibly compassionate, empathetic, genuinely caring. The veterinary business end of it aside, which I believe is very expensive (I'd been going to another 'small town' vet who was cheaper but I believe Longwood is state of the art and has some really talented vets), Longwood is a good choice. In addition to Dr. Parsons, who I cannot say enough about, Drs. Strine and Knipe were also really helpful. Dr. Parsons is the BEST. more

Dr. Parsons at Longwood Vet is a very compassionate and caring vet. She helped me and my husband thorugh a very difficult time when our beloved Chance got ill and we had to say goodbye to her. Dr. Parsons stayed with us the whole time and explained the process with great care. She's just wonderful. We recently adopted Chloe and she had her first visit with Dr. Parsons last night. Chloe loved her too! All my dogs will be cared for by Dr. Parsons from now on. more

Longwood Vet Center is the best! We've been with them since they opened and have received 12 years of wonderful care for our dogs and for the rescue dogs we bring in for treatment. As coordinator for a dog rescue organization that helps dogs all over the USA, I can honestly say that the team at Longwood is one of the best in the country. The skills they have are more than you would normally find in a local vet hospital, and Dr. Strine's exceptional surgery has saved several of our own dogs. When an older dog was in critical condition and the cost was estimated to be very high and risky, they were non-judgemental and said that it wouldn't be wrong to decide not to go for the surgery. When we did, it was totally successful and that dog is still thriving several years later. The entire staff is very caring and it is a delight to have them treat our dogs. When we have had to euthanize our dear pets, they have always been compassionate and sympathetic, making the experience less of more

I had used them for 6-7 years. My dog got ill they were great charging thousands of $ worth of test up until it was determined there was nothing they could do They said he'd live a few weeks or few months a few days later he went into a coma and it was time to put him to sleep and not let him suffer.He went into a coma 9am and I called for an appointment to get him in and taken care of while kids were at school. They didn't have an opening for me till 3:30 in the afternoon???? so my dog died at home suffering! Unacceptable to me and should be to any pet owner out there!!! more

I never worry when I leave my dog with Longwood - they love her as much as I do. I have seen all of the vets there and all of them are wonderful. When I had to put my 17 yr old terrier down, they were just wonderful to me and my dog, making such a difficult process much easier to deal with. I highly recommend, without reservation, these vets. To the person's point who said the 'rip you off' - I will say they are on the more expensive side, but their first class facility, compassion, friendliness and professionalism is well worth it. more

I have had dogs all my life and have always felt that you find out the most about your vet during the tough times - not the routine visits. \r \r We recently went through this with our girl Maggie. Maggie blew a disc in her back last Christmas requiring surgery at the University of PA. At that same time, a mass in her chest was found. Although the back surgery was surprisingly successful (no one thought she would get back as much function as she did) the cancer in her chest took off 6 months later and we lost her.\r \r The entire staff at Longwood was so understanding and sympathetic it really helped us get through the ordeal. I would highly recommend them. more

I'm new to the area and in the three times I've had to visit, I've experienced nothing but the friendliest crew.\r I have a German Shepherd who is a very good judge of character, and she shows no signs of anxiety - in fact she often lies down in the exam room while waiting her turn. \r I'm pleased more

We have brought our pets to Longwood for many years, and have--sadly--had three of them euthanized there. We have found that the vets offer many options for treatment and are always upfront about the costs. They have access to great facilities for testing and treatment. Most importantly, they love animals and treat them respectfully and compassionately. We have visited other vets in emergencies and find Longwood's costs to be in the same range as others. However, the quality of caring they offer to both the animals and their owners is unsurpassed. more

Longwood Vet is a pack of thieves. They overcharge and have zero empathy. Get a second opinion and you will realize that most likely they have given you the most expensive option. And don't expect them to take your emotions into account. Try Pocopson Vet. Loving, caring, empathetic staff. more

Longwood Vet Center is great! They have done wonders with my 13-year-old elkhound with acupuncture, offered by Dr. Parsons, and they saved my 5-year-old cat who was within hours of death - a team effort by the entire group. They are the best!\r \r Andrea Baker more

We have been pet owners for along time and whether it has been care for a rabbit,dog or cat, the entire staff from the front desk to the folks at the boarding center to the Veterinarians, we and our pets have been treated to 5 star care!! The vets here are very compassionate and caring. They are experts, and I've never had a complaint. Caring for pets can be expensive, and decision can be difficult. The staff here are non-judgmental and very helpful. more

I have owned animals all my life, so have maintained many relationships with vets in the past. None of them previously have shown as much personal interest in my pets as the folks at Longwood. All of my animals have received exeptional veterinary and nursing care. Their customer service if the best in the area. They offer a variety of specialty services as well, which has proved quite helpful with my ailing pets. I wish they could take care of MY medical needs! more
