Disappointed 8/11/2011

I have enjoyed going to the Longhorn for sometime, but of late it isn't the same. Sometimes the tables are sticky. I always order the Prime Rib - last night they were out, so I ordered the Ribeye - the menu describes it as "Cut fresh, 12 oz. juicy and flavorful" It wasn't anything I could eat - extremely spicy and greasy, the only taste was the hot spices. Another thing - when the bread was served some of the butter was room temperature soft, the rest of it cold - do they 'recycle their leftover butter? more

Accuracy of Order 11/24/2008

We went to this Longhorn to celebrate my mom's birthday. There were four of us and we all ordered steaks. 2 Medium Wells and 2 Medium Rares, When we got our steaks, 3 of them were Medium Well, 1 Medium Rare. We were all finished eating by the time they corrected the order. the waitress kept using the fact that she was new as an excuse - I asked her how long she had been there are she said 2 months . . . that's not new honey, if you don't know your job after two months then you have bigger problems. I would not recommend this location, the food was a 4, but the service was terrible. more

Best Steak Around! Better Than Hereford!!! 1/5/2007

The Flo's Filet is the way to go. I wouldn't order any other steak there - it's always perfect! Pair it with grilled asparagus or baked sweet potato with cinnamon & you'll be in heaven. The salmon is also excellent. You'll be so full you won't have room for dessert, so get the chocolate stampede without the ice cream to go! Pros: Great Steak, Fun Atmosphere, Friendly/Quick Service Cons: Crowded at dinner time. more

Longhorns 3/19/2003

Jerimiah, our server, was excellent! He made us feel completely at ease and his service was done with complete finesse. My steak was perfection, which not an easy thing to provide considering catering to different clientel on a daily basis. The atmosphere is warm and we liked the "cowboy feel" of the restaurant. We would definitely return again. more

Too Long on the Horn 1/13/2003

I recently had a birthday dinner at the Longhorn Steakhouse near Libery, in KC North. The service was weak, the table was not cleaned, the waitress kept forgetting things, and the steak was very average. It was late or we would have driven a little farther to Strouds or Tommie's. Even a Ponderosa would have been a better value. I hate these chain outfits and their lousy "bottom line" mentality. Pros: Decent Potato, Decent Caesar Salad, Lots of parking Cons: Loud and noisy, Mess hall ambience, Gen X,Y service more

This is a joke, right? 11/1/2002

This is restaurant is a joke pretending to be a steak house. Sorriest excuse for a steak house I've ever seen. Steaks are okay if you like them loaded with gristle that can't be chewed. Steaks loaded with seasonings to hide any true beef flavor. Cons: Bad food more

Steak & Family 8/15/2002

Great steak at a good value! My first time there I was very impressed with the server's attention to our group. The quality of meat served was tender and tasty. Our family enjoyed the attention from staff and the great food. Pros: excellent service, nice western ambience Cons: parking more

Suculent steaks 7/25/2002

Great tender steak. Not very pricy. My favorite part is the sauce that they give you to dip your steak into! more

Keep coming back 7/19/2002

Every time I go to one of the "premeir" Kansas City Steakhouses, I can't help but compare it to Longhorn. I'm always seated speedily and get decent service for a restaurant chain. The steaks are as good or better than any other I've eaten in Kansas City. One drawback is the constant motion from the multitudenes waitstaff. I keep coming back because Longhorn keeps delivering the best steak! more

Then a freak snowstorm hit Atlanta in 1982,stranding motorists and drawing them to one of the only hospitable places available - a restaurant then called LongHorn Steaks Restaurant & Saloon. Tales of expertly grilled steaks soon spread like wildfire, and the legend of LongHorn was born.
Today,LongHorn welcomes diners to a modern, relaxing dining experience, with knowledgeable servers offering the finest fresh steaks, chicken and seafood expertly prepared as only LongHorn can.
Beyond legendary steaks done right,LongHorn is also known for being a positive force in the community. LongHorn Steakhouse is proud to give back to the local community and help make a difference in the lives of others.
