Best

I like it. Good service too. Try it for yourself. They are hurting Outback. Burgers are the about the best around, and a great price. Cons: crowded

Not bad for a suburban steakhouse 5/19/2006

Meat was plentiful and medium rare was on. Most places outside of the city tend to overcook. Good party and social scene. Will visit again. Pros: Steak, Service more

Not Bad for Franklin 11/13/2002

I didn't know what to expect walking into this restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised when my filet was actually cooked perfectly, with great trimmings. Their wine selection was limited, but what they did have worked well with our order. It was crowded, but not too noisy. Its not as dark as the Outback, and the meat seems to be much leaner. This a great place for big parties, or for kids. The waitstaff is pretty nice as well. more

Owner Message
  • LongHorn welcomes guests into a warm, relaxing atmosphere reminiscent of a Western rancher's home where friendly, attentive servers help them unwind and savor a great steakhouse meal.
For over 29 years, LongHorn Steakhouse has proudly served steaks, chicken and fish that are always fresh, never frozen. Known for its passion for grilling inspired by the American West, our steaks include the signature hand-seasoned Flo's Filet and the bone-in Outlaw Ribeye. And there's more on the menu than just great steaks, like expertly grilled fresh fish and fresh chicken. Enjoy specialties such as LongHorn Salmon, a fresh, hand-cut salmon fillet seasoned with a bourbon marinade; fall-off-the-bone tender Baby Back Ribs; and Parmesan Crusted Chicken, two juicy chicken breasts grilled and topped with a parmesan cheese and garlic crust.

Editorial
  • In Short
One of the country's most successful steakhouse empires attracts a casual crowd with huge, reasonably priced steak dinners and a tempered Texan milieu (country music and imposing cattle busts). Wise diners turn off their internal calorie counters, as many menu items arrive fried, covered in cheese, or both. A typically rich meal starts with cheese fries, followed by a blue cheese-crusted fillet. Fried cheesecake ends the night on a note of Texas-sized decadence.
