Long Tire & Brake

I'm not the one to provide reviews for auto shops under normal situations.\r However, I walked in this shop on Friday June17th after having anothe local shop put on a power steering pump. Well after 3 hours waiting at the first shop the guy says he puts on a new pump. well it did not fix the problem and he sent me seeking a source for a gear box for the system. So I stopped by LONGS Brake and Tire, walked in and told them my proble, and I needed a gear box.\r \r They said Okay no problem, good service quick, but it got better, I explained the situation and then one of the guys ask me a question. He said, are you sure it's not a bad PS pump, remember I just had one puton, so of couse I stated the same, then he ask, before you put the new pump on when you put PS fluid in did it workOkay. Greenlight come on and of course the answer was yes.\r \r So trhe guys at Longs could have just as easy took me for a ride and sold me a gearbox and cost me 350.00 plus, instead I went back to the first guiy more

I took my Nissan Titan in for brakes as I had 100,000 miles on it ,I had purchased it with 47,000 miles and it was making noise when I backed out of the driveway so I just assumed it was time for brakes. I had bearly left when Jim called and said that I didnt need brakes yet, just some alianment work and the noise was a simple grease fix. Even with a defective bolt problem that occured as I was leaving ( it was fixed quickly, no fault of Long brake or Joe the mechanic) I can see that I will be using them as maintainance is required. Honesty should never be overlooked for price. more

I was referred here by word of mouth. I had my transmission replaced and numerous other things done on my Jeep. They provided me with the most amazing service and they charged me and incredibly low rate for their service. I am so happy with Rodney and his team. They truly are experts in their field. I will continue to go there for any car needs! more

This is also an excellent shop at which to purchase new tires. Jim, the owner, admitted that I could drive a short while longer on the tires I had, but that they would need to be replaced soon. He helped me select the correct tires and when I mentioned that I could get a $70 rebate on 4 Michelin tires at another location (but at a price somewhat higher than I wanted to pay), he told me about some Cooper tires that were in my price range and on which I could get a $50 rebate. I've been buying tires from Long Tires for a long time (about 15 years) and I've always received great service and prices. Jim and his co-worker Rodney are my best friends in the tire business. more

This is an excellent shop to get brake work done. We moved out of the immediate area 4 years ago and still drive the extra 20 miles back there to get our brakes done here because we know they are trustworthy and will give an honest assessment on what needs to be done. We have also sent family members there for repairs. Not the cheapest shop out there, but not overpriced and it's definitely worth it. more

My experience started out with a word of mouth referral which I passed on to my son-in-law. He failed emissions and was told by "another shop" that it would cost $300.00 plus- He went to Longs and spent under $50 AND they took his car to emissions for him and it passed. NEXT visit, he put new tires on. My daughter then took her van to get 4 new tires-my husband went next-I took my V W turbo bug next and needed 2 tires and a major alignment-Now the best for last, my co-worker had a nail in her Infinity Nissan (she just bought it) I told her about how great Long Tires was and they don't rip off women-she took a chance and rode by after work. They were closing up shop but opened back up and put a patch on until she could get new tire(s). Guess where she will be getting them....No kidding, I never take time to write reviews, but these guys are over the top in their customer service and knowlege of what they are doing. THE BEST!! more

I have been to this business many times. They have always been very nice. The services have consistently been great prices and the people are very honest. They tell you only what you NEED to have done. They have also always had my cars fixed very quickly. They have even come to my location to break off lugnuts when I had a flat tire, instead of me having to call a tow truck. I would highly recommend this business!!
