I checked all the information about these Long Island NY movers, was very satisfied with reviews I had read before arranging the date for my move with this Selden moving and storage company, I had spoken to the sales representative Alex that was very willing to answer any questions I had in regards to packing materials, the contract and additional fees. Although I did end up paying an additional $25 it was due to a couple of wardrobes and about 10 extra boxes, they didn't apply fuel charge and no document fees which isn't that bad since other companies tried to charge me for that. Overall it went very smoothly, the office was very helpful and the movers worked very efficiently! The rates are very attractive, the customer service staff is helpful and informative. We used this Selden NY moving service company based entirely on this site and the comments left here, and so I wanted to leave a rave review here for our recent move to Brooklyn. My company was paying for the service, the $960 price quote came in under that amount, and I liked the way I was treated and our communication with Janet, so we booked them for our move. Their staff arrived 15 minutes early and loaded our third-floor two-bedroom apartment in about 3 hours. They were very careful with everything, and dealt with care and really well with our furniture. The amount they could haul was amazing! We met them in Brooklyn and they sent an extra guy to help with the unload, which made it a lot quicker considering the small elevator. The unload took about 2.5 hours, so the whole day (load, drive, unload) took 12 hours. They came in a little over the estimate, but we paid the capped rate and we gave just over a $250 tip. We really liked their help from the customer service, and their rates and the pricing policy. The guys were all very nice, friendly, and professional. We definitely plan to use them again if possible in future moves! more

Well I'm a single mother and I live in Selden, NY. I just rented a new house and to relocate all the stuff from the previous place I needed to hire a mover. My friends told me they will help me with some smaller furniture and boxes, but I have an upright piano, really heavy sofas and furniture and needed maybe 40-50 huge boxes and wardrobes full of clothes and books to be moved which is too much to be moved by myself or even with my friends' help. I found Long Island Best Movers on CitySearch, and after I called a couple more local moving companies and asked about the prices and rates I called this company's office and spoke to a lady her name is Jenny and she was very nice and helpful, I asked for a fixed price for the entire packing and moving plus I needed some stuff to be stored for a few months, and the price she gave me was $950 flat rate, which was at least $400 less compare to other Long Island moving companies rates and prices, so I decided to go with Long Island Best Movers. The move itself went very well, the movers were such helpful and fast, it took them less than 6 hours to complete the entire move, they put the rest of our stuff to their storage and helped us to unpuck everything and also cleaned out the new place and removed all the packing materilas. The best I liked about these movers was the guys were very friendly to my kids and one of them was such a nice guy, his name is Cleo he was their foreman and he was very professional and experienced mover, the other guys were working like machines and I want to recommend Long Island Best Movers to everyone looking for a good reliable Long Island Moving company!
